I usually pick the mage or rogue types. In Oblivion my best character is a Khajiit rogue of sorts. Only ever used a bow and poison, never bothered with all that magic 9except enchanting0 or any weapon other than a bow.

In Mass Effect 1 and 2 I played sniper classes, the best of all classes.

I like the rogue. Sneaky, cunning, and usually has the best skill sets. Their not the best at fighting, but they tend to have good defense to make up for it.

like a boss

I'm kidding typically, I like the stealthier character. In Oblivion, wood elf ninja (bow, stealth and what not) New Vegas, I have a stealth sniper. I also enjoy playing as the tank, since beating the crap out of something with a hammer is always fun.

In Dragon age went mage but made sure I could handle hand to hand combat.
How'd you do that early game without screwing yourself over? I can understand making an Arcane warrior or w/e the specialisation is, but without it?

Well at first I made sure I had decent magic then worked on swordplay later on while still doing some work on magic.

I play any class that has a lot of armor and firepower. I have no use for stealth and I let someone else do the healing.

In Mass Effect I play a Male Sentinel, sort of a dick/paragon kinda guy.
In Dragon Age I play a Female City Elf Rogue.
In Fable I usually mix it up, but a character type that's always a constant is an evil guy who's a solid combo of Magic and Strength.

Most are the favorite for each game
WoW: Warlock
Oblivion: BattleMage (Melee/Caster style)
Any starting RPG: I tend to get the Ice Caster I feel like a preference for Ice than Fire
Also I like having a class than can heal themself and to some extent heal other

In games like Dragon Age/Morrowind (& Oblivion): I found Warriors to my liking.

Neverwinter nights: Paladin

In w.o.w : I preferred caster classes.

Fallout 3/ New Vegas : Ranged. Guns. Love them. LOVE GUNS. Not lazer pistols. Bullets! Smooth-talking, gun-toting, saint-like world-saver who wont take your money or possessions, even for the most dangerous mission. That's me, in every game. The 'good' guy.

TF2: Soldier

L4D/2 : Guns, not melee. I can't stand melee in L4D.

So, by looking at all that , I suppose you could say that I much prefer any 'ranged' class with a gun, staff, wand, throwing spear, blah blah blah. However, I usually try everything out in each game (each back story, each class, etc) to a certain extent, to give it a chance. If one flows well for me, that's my option. And apparently, it's usually caster/ranged.lol
