As the title implies, I'm curious as to how my fellow GMs run their pen and paper games. IT can be everything from D&D to GURPS to Exalted, doesn't matter.
However, I also want to know how players want to play the game as well, and whether or not you like the way your GM runs the game.
As the resident DM(playing D&D 3.5), I tend to run my games very randomly and very chaotically. My newest campaign has so far had use of the time stop spell, alternate dimensions, tea drinking t-rexes that speak Celestial, as well as lightsabers. My players are still level 1 (well, one of them leveled up, but still). They seem to have fun most of the time (especially the one time player A's monk kicked player B's fighter through an enemy). I do this partly because I have a tendency to wing it (I.E. don't plan a whole lot ahead) and because it allows for more creativity.
