How do you spell sound-effects?

I'm considering dabbling in the art of comics and find myself contemplating the question, do I bother writing in sound effects? To add to this, how would you spell your favourite sound-effect?

ok that doesn't help, I already knew what that word was, meant, and several examples. please to be giving examples XD

You should just call this thread 'Onomatopoeia' i love that word.
I always loved 'Bamf' or 'Bampf' the sound nightcrawler makes when he teleports because i could totally understand from that, what sound was being made.
