Even though I said "What the hell?" when the Escapist finished loading in my browser, I saw the 12 other threads about it's new look and decided on the other topic I was going to post.

I dunno the schedules for other states/countries education systems, but for me, our finals start this week. I usually study for them using a mixture of notes, caffeine, and desperate prayer. How do you manage it?

The way I did it was I rewrite all the topics I have learnt into a highlighted and simplify notes.
Keep the information into bullet points and keeping the sentences short while underline or use a highlight on the key words. Also if you can, try to make a rhyme, phrase or even a jiggle to remember the important information like an equation or certain terms.
Lastly you should be writing out the info again while read/ taking in the information just to show yourself you are remembering it.
As usual make sure you spend 2 or more hours and taking small break inbetween or you will fatigue/ lose concretration.

In the middle of mine now.

Honestly my favourite way is to go to the pub/coffee shop and talk about the material.

other than that read my notes aloud whilst pacing and sketch stupid little cartoons of the material, preferably with really bad puns

Good luck!

I study for final exams by not studying at all, except sex ed of course. Gotta pass that class, you know.

I'd like to say I was more organised but for mine I generally cram revise a whole years worth of work for every subject in the 2 weeks before the exams begin. Although this year I was very lucky and my exams were quite spaced out, so I had at least 5 days between each one. I organised myself better, drew huge mind maps with loads of bright headings and bullet points, and I passed them all with flying colours ^^ For Uni though I'd like to think I'll pace myself better and start my studies months in advance instead of mere weeks or days, because the cramming method stresses me the hell out...

I used to write out my notes again, possibly with particular emphasis on those areas I feel I've not got down. I always told myself I'd write practice essays, but I never got round to it.
Egh. Got my B.A. now, so I'm probably not going to have to worry about it again.
