I study very sporadically. In year 11 right now, in Australia. I've coasted through years 7-10 without putting in a lot of work, topping my year in almost all of my subjects the entire time. Half-yearlies are coming up in a little over a week's time. I have begun studying, but I feel like I'm at the stage where I may have to knuckle down a bit. It's largely a matter of actually sitting down and starting. Once I start, I can study fine. Thank god I'm intelligent and can retain almost everything said in class.
As far as my actual study techniques go, I make sure there's no music (can't study with music), and pretty much just read over my exercise book/text book, take notes based off what chapters are in the exam, and then if I actually do all that (which I generally don't), I start doing practice exams. That's it in a nutshell.
