There are so many sites reviewing games, plus an order of magnitude more player reviews. Especially for any semi-popular game there's just so much coverage it's ridiculous. How do you guys deal with the information overload?
If I'm on the fence about buying a game, I'll go to Metacritic and look at the highest and lowest score reviews of the game. I do the same with user reviews on Metacritic and GameFAQs. For me, the best sign that a game's going to be good for me is a mix of extremely high and extremely low scores... when it comes to love-it-or-hate-it sort of titles I almost always love 'em.
I also love to read all the reviews I can about games I already own and enjoy, or that I know for sure I'm going to get anyway.
