My mum is a good lady. Very spiritual, and very wise.
Too nice, though. Not nearly as strict as she should be.

My dad is an alchoholic paedophile. I haven't seen him for years.
Apparently, I look just like him.

My parents are both great, but I get on really well with my dad. He is into so many of the same things I am (I suppose I got it from him): SciFi, Computers, Politics, more SciFi... (we love SciFi)

My mam is the best cook I've ever had the privilege of tasting food from. Everyone says so. It's great! My friends love coming over ;-)

The only criticism I have about my parents is that they are of the mindset that video games are to be taken in extreme moderation and that an hour a week is too much *sigh*

They really are great though.

My mum is overprotecting... Today she wouldn't even pour me a full glass of champange... But otherwise nice.

My dad is a faily regular, well educated john doe... And a master of the the art of 'so bad they're good' jokes.

Most of my friends have crazy parents though...

My mum acts like an awesome mum with a bit of crazy and a side-order of senility thrown in. My dad acts like a person who doesn't exist to me any more for acting like a complete and total, anti-social dipshit.

I have daddy issues.

Typical parents.

They're kinda like the masses; you know, the ones who still believe in the news and will never see the outside of the box.

Jeez, I never thought people could have such negative opinion about their own parents.
Yeah, I know. Funny thing, though. I remember when I was in high school, I used to think my dad was a total asshole ..

My moms pretty cool. Shes loud and harsh, but she cares about me. My biological dad was an ass and so was my adoptive dad. I'm changing my last name to my mothers maiden name when I get enough cash.

My mum acts like a normal mum, but with a sizable spoonfull of awesomeness thrown in.

My dad is a douche. Hence why he lives in New Zealand rather than here.

My mom a lot of the time goes crazy and starts yelling over the smallest things for like twenty minutes straight.

My dad ignores her and tells her to shut up but that makes her madder and I have to listen to it because I have no driver's license.

How do your parent's act?

well sir my families the same just the other way around...my dad can be an all round phycopath ragoholic sometimes...but its good i only have to put up with it for 1.086 seconds before i can leave the house

My Mother is a wicked pothead, she can't go half an hour without lighting one up, bless her soul. My Dad is a pothead too, but also drinks/does pills, so he can either be very fun to be around, or just asleep. It's a wonder I turned out as well as I did.

It's horrible to have your parents fight all the time. I used to just try and listen to music as loud as possible to shut them out.

It's ridiculous, you wonder why they are together if they don't even get on. Try not to let it get to you too much. If I was back there I would walk downstairs and tell my parents to shut up.
I try, they never listen to me. I live in the basement so I just go down there when they fight. My mom and dad can be civil around each other at times but not often.

I don't live with my parents anymore, but I only live about an hour's car ride away so I see them fairly often.

My mum is a natural born worrier. About anything and everything. When I finally admitted to her at 16 that i'd taken up smoking (she'd actually known since I was 14 and did't say anything xD), she started buying me cigarettes because I had no ID at the time, so she's always been great to me. Although it can get on my nerves, I love helping her emotionally. She had to have a biopsy of her breast for cancer this week, and I spent ages on the phone calming her down and asking her if she wanted me to come home. The only downfall she ever had, and some people might not see this as a bad thing, is that she did everything for me. So when the time came to move out, I was totally clueless! But not so not to worry her I adapted on my own and now I think I'm a better person because of it. So maybe it was a good thing after all.

My father on the other hand, well we've always had a strange relationship. I wasn't always the most well behaved child, and he isn't known for his temperance. But whenever I've needed him he's come through for me, even though when it comes to finances he's a pretty tight bastard :p We hit a bit of a rough patch when I was 16. For reasons I won't post here we got into a fight. Now I'm normally a pacifist unless the time calls for action, (and we still argue to this day who threw the first punch) but I unintentionally dealt him a lot of damage and nearly broke one of his ribs. The strangest thing is that after than we've become closer than ever. I guess it just goes to show, no matter what happens you can always rely on your family. I really love my parents and i'm not ashamed to admit that. :)

I think Mark Twain put it the best.

?When I was a boy of fourteen, my father was so ignorant I could hardly stand to have the old man around. But when I got to be twenty-one, I was astonished by how much he'd learned in seven years."

I don't mean to make my parents sound like bad guys or anything. I love them, they just get on my nerves a lot of the time. When they are calm and civil to each other they can be awesome.
