I recently heard about a game called Lose/Lose, which is a scrolling shooter in which you shoot down "alien ships" and each time you take out a ship it deletes a file on your computer.
People don't seem to get that the fact that the game deletes files isn't the scary part (anyone stupid enough to play it deserves it) the scary part is that this game CAN delete files so easily.
What good are all the expensive programs we use to defend our computers with if something simple like this game can just delete files at will? How does it work anyway? I need to freaking run Internet Explorer as "an administrator" just to play/watch flash games/videos (I fixed this a long time ago, but my point is still valid), but this modest piece of software just gets free rein on my hard drive? What fresh BS is this?
