On a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being the lowest spook level, 10 being the highest, how easily do you get spooked?

Does watching a horror movie give you nightmares? Do scary stories creep you out? Would you sleep in a so-called haunted house for the night or two just to prove it isn't haunted? Are you okay with driving down a long dark road with no one else around for probably miles? Would you stay in a motel in the middle of nowhere and feel comfortable on your own? Could you walk through a dark park or through dark alleyways on your own during the night?

Etc etc

You get the point, oh, and so you don't get in trouble, try to add a little more than a number on the scale ¬_¬

I hate watching horror films, but that's because I can't stand the tension of knowing that something shocking is going to occur, but not knowing when.
Otherwise, I'm alright.

Well, I'm not scared of the supernatural, but I do know that people are completely capable of being dangerous. So, (Empty) Haunted house, fine, road with no one else around? Yes (assuming no dangerous animals were around either).

Dark park or alleyways alone, I often do anyway, but if I saw a group of people, I'd be wary.

So, I don't know 7 or 8?

It's very, very rare that something scares me. It NEVER happens with games.

... Or... at least it didn't before I finally played Amnesia: The Dark Descent >.>

I just got to the store room AND I'M ALL OUT OF OIL.

If I am alone, after watching a scary movie I can get creeped out, but I don't get nightmares, and I don't believe in the super natural, so I would go with a 3 or 4

Rarely unless I'm playing Dead Space or Amnesia (seriously, curse this game.) Or I watched an episode of Marble Hornets.

EDIT: Forgot to add a number. 4, I would say. 6 or 7 in the above case.

I don't get scared that easily, I also don't get creeped out by a lot of things. I do however get startled very easily to the point that people love to sneak up behind me and try to startle me in new and interesting ways. But sadly when I do find something scary I usually don't finish it case and point Amnesia: the dark descent I play that for about 10 minutes per go and if I feel really brave I could go longer but I usually don't, my record time for playing it without stopping was about an hour until I just couldn't go on anymore.

In reality, 2 or 3. I'm an unmovable rock of stoicism.
In games like Dead Space, 7 to 10 depending on scenario. "The unmovable rock has evolved into A Scared Little *****!"

As far as movies/games/books go, there are those that don't scare me but might gross me out (most horror) and those that are just awesome and give me some tingles but don't usually spook me (the 1963 version of The Haunting, the Silent Hill series).

I only get spooked if I'm alone in the dark. My mind starts playing tricks on me. Especially if I hear any sounds at all.

So...I don't really know where I fall in the scale.

PS, I hate jump scares. I always know they're coming, and they never spook me. They just irritate me, since they're such a cheap trick and I like my horror to have a bit more effort put into it. Same with gore.

I guess I'm like Yahtzee, insomuch that I'm easily startled, but not easily scared.

With games like Dead Space, I'll get skittish the first couple times I come across a scary, but after a couple hours I end up yawning. When the necromorph... morphs right in your face, I was just intrigued and started thinking about human anatomy during that entire scene that I zoned out, so gore just doesn't do it for me.

Amnesia, though, made me genuinely concerned about opening any door and splashing noises freaked me out for a few days.

And with films, it's more about the music than the visuals... and even then I find it more of an irritation than adding to the atmosphere. I'd rather there was no music at all.

So, 3... ish.

I hate startles and jump scares, but I'm very susceptible to them.

Games like SH:2 and Amnesia scare the crap out of me, but I enjoy it after the fact.

I like well crafted written horror as well. It's just most horror movies that I dislike.

I think I can be easily spooked however only to new forms of "scary". Give me a unique innovative horror movie and I will be scared for the entire thing lol, give me a film/game which just mimicking existing scenes then I have a tendency to predict all possible outcomes and just loose the scare factor.

Years ago, "The Thing" was a new concept to me. I watched all sorts of films and felt like a tough guy not being afraid. But The Thing had me tense the entire time! It was so different and I didn't know who was affected! Impressive for an old film. But now, I just sit there and watch it while munching on cereal, its just a classic.

Stuff involving being at spooky locations.... hmmm. My friends and I have done such things as a dare. They are believers of spirits and ghosts while I am far more skeptical and pretty much the only one willing to go deeper in, convinced its just a plain abandoned building or quiet lonely graveyard. But if I was alone at night in such a place? Well... I bet I wont be so brave then lol

ill rate myself 4/10 nonetheless.
