To the drivers among the ranks of us on the forums.
How fast have you gone in a car (or truck, or motorcycle, doesn't matter)?

Edit: Accidentally pressed enter while making the poll, so there's none, now.

I've gone about 125 m/h in my 97 Honda Civic.
It has a POS 4 cylinder engine, cold air intake, and a 5 speed manual transmission (only part I really like about the car)

Edit #3 (and 4): How fast have you gone relative to the ground below you.
That should clear things up.

I'm just full of edits today

Only about 140 (kph) in my volvo (mind you I've only been driving for about 6 months). Just too many bloody cameras around to get to any decent speeds.

Right now, I'm going around six hundred kilometres a second in one bigarse circle that I won't live to see the end of.

170 or so, but I lost my license and honestly don't think it's worth it anymore.

About 210 kilometers per hour (km/h), in my friends car.

You guys should specify if the speed is mp/h or km/h.

My poor car tops out 145 ish. But I don't speed too much anymore. Can't afford the 500 dollar tickets and other drivers are lethal (or yourself)

Well youre going to care when you cant pick up your girl or having to take the bus everywhere.
You've never driven without a license?
I'm only going to care when I get caught, which doesn't happen much.

These threads won't work unless people actually include some measurement of speed. Saying I went 170 is meaningless without a unit, The 170Km/h I've hit in my mighty n14 pulsar is siginificantly lower than the 170 miles (I'm assuming miles) xmetatr0nx got in the porsche.

Well apparently you lack common sense, it adds up now. Good luck with that.
Well, I'm apparently real lucky. I've been pulled over twice in over 2 years of driving, and usually driving 30-40 mph over the speed limit. Or maybe it's just good eye sight, I almost always see a cop wayyyy before he can catch me speeding.
I've been pulled over for going 25 in a 20 (got a ticket for that one) and for going 55 in a 45.

In my own car ive only taken it up to 155, restricted unfortunately. But i have others:

911 GT3 RS 170
Brabus S Biturbo 159
Aston Martin DB9 166
Maserati MC12 185
Dodge Viper RT10 175

Thats some of my favourite tales of speeding...although these were done on a closed track. I have many more cars and speeds, but you get the idea.

EDIT: Hey youre from Texas, home of the fastest ever speeding ticket. 242 MPH on a koenigsegg CC.
I dont like you, you've gone faster than me, and in all my favorite cars to boot.

Ive only done 120 in my moms 4 Runner because, unfortunately, my suburban is old and only does 95.

someone really needs to give the earth a speeding ticket.

OP: I'm not going to list any of the incomprehensible speeds I've been through.
because even I don't understand them fully.

I've done 140 km/h in a Daihatsu Rocky (I'm as shocked as you are that it didn't fall apart). It was on a massive long, straight road, with no other cars (or cops) around.

It was just to see if I could.. I could.

Ummm... I've done 112mph in my 1.0l Toyota Aygo, I'd say that's pretty fucking good for the engine size, the speedo only goes up to 110 and I think the advertised top speed is about 96mph.
I didn't even intend to do it, I was just on the motorway, glanced at my speedo and then slowed the fuck down.

No, you just have no common sense, at all.
I just go as fast as my car, reflexes, and the road allow me to go. Don't see how it takes common sense to follow the direction of a sign planted there by someone who'll probably only drive on the road once, if at all.

Lets not fight Penguin, you just hate me cos of that GT3 dont you? To be honest its my least fav cars out of the ones ive been lucky enough to drive. Only because its so impractical to own for everyday purposes, yet i still see people around here buying them and takeing them out to the store, or a club, etc...
Your right, Im just being bitter, Im sorry. Though its not just the GT3, but thats a biggie, you've also driven a DB9 and a Maserati MC12. I just want a chance to drive one of those cars, but seeing as Im in Alaska, we dont get many nice cars up here. I did see a 911 from the 80's though...
Ah well, one can dream.
