How good are you at CTF?

In Combat Arms(MMOFPS game from Nexon), while it may may not count as much to a reputation as Halo would, I've gotten a lot of touchdowns. I've just recently had two CTF games where I got 5 out of the 7 points from my team. I remember one play in one of those very games where I carried the flag the long way across the map AND under fire. On my way back to the base our flag was taken. I not only got the head shot on their runner, but I recovered the flag and got the winning point of the game.

So, good at CTF? And are you defense or offense?

I'm the one who kills you with the flag in Halo. I'm also the one who to captures the intelligence with a Sniper in Team Fortress 2.

So I'm pretty good in a strange way. I'm not the best at actually capturing the thing, but I can do it in unconventional ways.

I am the flag runner, bomb carrier, zone capper extrodanaire. On my old halo 2 clan we had seperate squads to better organization, Alpha, Bravo, Charlie (offence, midfeild, defence) and I was in alpha so now im a little obsessed with the objectives in games. I love the flag in Halo as a weapon. Its like a brainwashing weapon that makes all enemeys just charge at you like morons. Makes it so easy to turn a corner sit and ram that flag pole threw someones skull.

I am really good at hiding the flag in real life. But I don't like FPS CTF, it's too boring. A good CTF game let's you hide your own flag.

Do people actually consider that game challenging? Yeesh, I got 1st place 3 games in a row on my first try. Although, the in-game economy thing is pretty cool.

With all the hacks and glitchers running around you'd be surprised.

On CTF matches i prefer to be the reconnaissance, so I'm the guy who runs in and scouts out the enemy position and spawn camps the defending team so my team can break through without any trouble and usually when i get killed i relay the information to my team to be on their guard.
But if i don't do that im usually ninja defending or sniping.

So im used to being any where really.

I'm the guy who stands at one end of the map and co-ordinates. Occasionally providing fire support.

People often start calling me names over this, they soon shut up once they realise that everything I say will happen happens.
Then they start wanting to know where the other team are, what they're armed with and where they're going.
Have won several games of CTF Halo (PC) without firing a shot, teamspeak rules.

It depends on what game i'm playing and what handicap the game has for CTF games e.g. Warhawk doesn't allow you in Warhawks while you have the flag and only ordinary ground vehicles.

I'm usually the diversion, the guy who barges in the front door guns a-blazin' to draw all the attention away from the real effort. Except when the defense screws up, in which case I have once or twice executed some nice broken-field runs all the way back. (Or at least dragged the flag to where my teammates can pick it from my bullet-raddled corpse.) Sometimes I act as the driver, when the team's short, but it's not my best role.

On defense, I'm the canary; my death or team-chat cries for help signify that the enemy team is about to enter the flag's area.

If I'm going to die a lot in games, I might as well make those deaths useful to the team.

Eh I am ok I guess. The only time I actually do capture the flag I will be the last person alive on either team, mostly because I like to snipe. I will then run in and pick up the flag and use the stupidest strategy for returning it, running strait down the center. Despite that fact I will some how return the flag without dying and the only thing I will be thinking of is what the other team is thinking about it.

In TF2, I mostly use irrational paths with a Scout to get the Intel, but other CTF games I'm on defence. I play a mean Flak Cannon.

I'm alright at real CTF... with like... real flags and shit.
Heck yes! I'm a tall, skinny guy so my lanky legs carry me quickly across the battlefield that is: Capture the Flag.

...We should get an escapist game going! Who lives in Canada?? Cap the flag, here we go!

I've never come to grips with how quick some of those flag runners are. Are they speed-hacking or what? All I know is the flag is out my base and in the enemy base before I know it, and that probably indicates I suck at capture the flag.

When I play, which is rare, I'm usually an Engineer on Defense. Tribes is really more my speed - higher complexity, less twitch reliance.

In Halo, I am mainly the driver, if there was such things as capture assists, I would probably have all of them in every capture the flag. I am such a good driver, I have to admit, that I have given tons and tons of rampages and running riots to gunners. Except I am only good at driving the warthog. If you ever want to play some CTF Halo 3 with me, just PM PimpMyEmo (inside joke).
Anyways, in other games I am mainly the sniper-type-backup-guy, like in Unreal Tournament, I get God-like with only headshots. But thats mainly because it is super easy to get headshots. In TF2, I either play with really crappy people, or am really good (I beg the latter), in that I usually get all the flag captures.

You know what was great fun? CTF in Conker's Bad Fur Day.
I'm sorry, slightly off topic...is your name based off the fabled 'Cheat Commandos'?

I am usually a solid cover man- and I have the knack of finding great ground to strafe near the middle of the playing field (effectively catching the other team off guard- sometimes cutting them off at their base exits), I actually enjoy "camping" and laying down suppressive fire above my teammate running with the flag- not snipe- sorry, you people who think that is cowardly don't really have a clue how to fight a war.

I also have the tendency to want to stir nests and act as a decoy, then disappear...oh yeah, you were talking about the game.
