Well i ask you The Escapist this.

What is something that you thought will be pretty easy but was really bloody hard and much more effort then you actual thought it would have been.

For me it was cooking shepherds pie from a recipe book it was supposed to take half an hour but took 1 hour with help from my girlfriend. That said it was bloody delicious.

And yes this is search bar approved, well i checked...

Finding a place so I can move out of my parents house. Thought it would be easy to find some cheap crappy apartment to move into but all the cheap places are full because everyone in the country is broke.

Accomplishing something that is worth the effort granted its great to do but damn hard if your ambitions are really high.

Source SDK, not really hard but time consuming. I thought it would be a lot less time consuming.

As for difficulty, I find it really difficult going to conventional social meeting grounds, of any type.

Seriously, I had no clue how difficult that could be.
That's not really your fault though. Just the current economy.

Track meets are really, really, really hard.

This. Fuck being unemployed. I'm so damn bored I've been teaching myself Photoshop tricks. Can turn myself into a pretty mean looking zombie so I suppose it's time well spent. You'd think employers would want employees to be able to turn themselves into zombies.

Adding to the chorus of job hunters, all I've been doing is pissing away my days though. Maybe I'm qualified for public servant work as a result.

Its fairly simple, write unlock so that the big lock on the screen disappears, beware of any virus's that may be lurking around and hop towards the giant safe doom style before the FBI catches on!

A levels.

I passed with C grades generally at GCSEs with basically no effort so when I tried to apply a bit more effort and got Es and Us, I was astounded. So now I'm working my arse off. I'm doing well in two of the subjects but one subject I can't help but fail at. At this rate, I'm aiming for an E which is the lowest grade you can get.

Fixing the parking (drum) brakes on your car. Simple in theory but holy cow the amount of bits that go "sproink" and fly for yards if you don't get it exactly right.

All those job hunters out there. Ride the excuse to the grave, seriously. I'm working at Woolworth's (supermarket chain in Australia) as a checkout chap full time. My work days are 8-9 hours, and I average 5 days a week. It's depressing work, especially when you get dickhole customers. At the risk of sounding melodramatic: It's killing my soul. Since I have a job, I can't even go back to unemployment, because my mum will cut me off until I get another one.

Money's good though.

My map for HL2:EP2 I'm making for a contest. 2 weeks and it ain't even in the beta stage.
(Maybe it's just because I'm lazy, but I thought it would take a whole lot less time and problem solving with gameplay elements)

The list could go on forever.
Skateboarding. It looks so easy, then promptly throws you on your ass and calls you a *****.
Hacking a Wii. I think it wants me to buy it games, which I *never* do.
Picking up chicks. They are so goddamn *picky* sometimes. So what if I don't like your music?
etc, etc...
