Due to covid, they'll be making people redundant where I work next week, about 10% of us will lose their jobs. Not terribly worried myself, as there's a number of people they should get rid of anyway due to being rather rubbish, but still.

(Am sorta worried by all the strange gnome goings on here, though)

Im trying to build up my steam to start painting 40k models again. Without being able to play with my group the desire kinda' bleeds, which is ironic since the one thing every hobbyist wants is more time.
Now its like "Oh I finished my daemon prince. Can't wait to show him to the group and play him...next year"

I haven't cared about inconvenient restrictions since day 1. Convenient ones I've more or less followed. Anyway, been in a mental mud pit for a decent while. If a second wave spreads out and restrictions come to place again I'll lose my mind.

Got a haircut today for the first time in 4 months. Feels like I lost 2 pounds of hair.

I got a buzz cut last month. In case things get worse and I'm not able to get a haircut for long periods of time.

I've been loving quarantine. My reclusivness is now a virtue.

When people are isolated for months, Gnomes are inevitable.
I am glad you still have your job. I worry about so many who have lost their jobs, or will be losing them over this and due to the messed up limits on unemployment here, everyone in the US does not even qualify for benefits and have zero income right now, and many will likely become homeless over this due to bickering politicians refusing to provide the help they really need here.

I am still sick with an inner ear infection right now and sleeping most of the time hoping one of these times I wake up I will be better.

Gyms are finally starting to open up here(but not the pool, which is what I really use at the gym) so it's kind of a wash for me. My kids Daycare just opened back up but we're not sending her back for two weeks because we want to give them a chance to sort out the new restrictions(groups are segregated, limited number of kids per group, rooms must be cleaned between groups if shared) and hoping nobody brings an infected kid in and forces a shutdown or something.

OTOH, our reopening(Oregon) is paused for a week because cases are starting to spike again. And considering Portland(which is close) has been a Protest hub......it's probably going to stay on hold for a while because it's too soon for these to be Protest spikes. These cases are likely from Memorial day parties and such.
