How Hell work?

With the assumption there is heaven and hell, I like the concept that hell isn't a bad place, but God and his followers have tried to convince people that it is, so that more people go to them and do what they want.

thats not an insult to detroit, i just figure that hell would probably be alot more mundane than poets like to make it out to be (heaven to) considering your supposed to spend eternity there. if heaven was everything good minus the fun sinful stuff, it would very soon feel like hell, and an eternity of torture would eventually turn you into a masochist if you never actually die, and even then you'd soon get bored of it.
so yeah, hell is a city with a fair amount of assholes and a bit run down, but otherwise a normal place to live, comparatively speaking, and heaven is like a 50's suburb, alot of wholesome pretense that breeds snobs and a few psychos who cant stand the wholesomeness.

While I'm an Atheist, and thus don't believe in a god or any kind of reward or punishment after death, that doesn't mean I can't explore the idea in fiction.

When you get to Level 100, you get to go back for another shot at life. Satan in this scenario is the jerk system administrator who, while he does keep everything running, makes the game very unfair for the players in the hopes that once they leave, they won't be coming back.

I mean you're saying it as if it is some kind of fact that you know. And I'm honestly curious what you think is the exact way hell works. I mean how can you possible make any statement about how hell works in any way shape or form when it is an unconfirmed place and the source material for said unconfirmed place is a book that is very sketchy in terms of fact and history.

I think Hell is like being in a place you try to avoid. Like a horrible job. Your sent into hell by a heaven fellowship which is somehow profiting off of the damned's misery and allowing those involved in heaven to enjoy richer and more rewarding eternities and allowing them to rule. Eventually, if you do a good job in hell you are promoted to earth. Which is kind of like getting a union job. You have more freedom then you do in hell plus you get simulation heaven experiences (happiness, love, HL2) so its win win. When you die on earth your either kept in hell or promoted to heaven based on how many achievements you've unlocked while you were on earth.
As depicted in the Bible, those who do not wish to follow God in this life will be relocated to hell. Think of heaven as Valhalla except its the righteous, innocent & redeemed that enter rather than warriors slain in battle. Hell is for those who hate God or wish not to live for him.

Hell is basically a giant rubbish tip where all the bad stuff goes (ie: People that sin (meaning everyone)). If you trust God to keep you out of there, he will help you. If you reject Him, you spend eternity being tormented by the constant fire and all your memories of how you rejected God. Throw in some demons that like to curb-stomp your testicles and you have a very nasty place. Basically constant fear and torture without any breaks at all.
Haven't you seen south park? It's actually a really nice place, and Satan is actually a nice guy
