Hey everyone, I was looking for a new MMO recently, played both WAR and WOW(liked WAR more because of the PVP) and was wondering if the new Star Trek MMO was any good, I would only be playing casualy because of school, would it be worth it?

It's a fun game, though personally I've grown somewhat bored of it already. That's just me though and it has to do with money constraints as well as personal taste, this game would be ideal for a casual player. You don't have to worry about belonging to a major guild or spam LFT in chats in order to play with other people, as the game creates groups automatically. And you can gain experience through either PVP and/or by following the plot, unless you play Klingon in which case you are limited mostly to PVP, though a heck of a lot more of it than the Feds get (in fact, in my opinion playing Klingon feels more like a complicated, persistant stats deathmatch game than an MMO). So there's a lot to offer though it depends on your tastes. I'll try to answer any specific questions you have though.

Thanks for the help everyone, major questions i have is
1-will the game run on a DSL connection, never had a problem with WoW or anything
2-how is the PVP
3-are the fixing bugs/adding content or just leaving the game as is

1. No problem at all, I played on ADSL from Australia and it was easily playable with almost no lag.

2. PVP is good, so long as you like "ship of the line" combat. Very tactical, the customizability means you really have to think about your ship's loadout and crew to be effective with lots of options available. Ground combat is a little clunkier but still quite fun.

3. They have been adding more to the game since release, right now mostly in the form of bugfixes and the like but they say they'll be adding more races to play and even new factions to play for such as the Romulans. No real knowledge on how long this will take though.

I heard it wasn't very good. The Space Gameplay is fun but the Ground Gameplay sucks some major ass. It's apparently extremely repetitive even for MMO standards. I predict the playerbase will die down just like it did in Warhammer Online. I don't see it lasting long.
