I have never heard of the Battle of Brisbane, the only major conflict I ever recall being taught in school was the eureka rebellion.

nope, the only major conflict we're ever taught about is gallipoli, never the charge of the australian light horse, or the battle of the kokoda track, or the rats of tobruk, or the battle of long tan, or any of our involvement in the korean war..i could go on
