I'm still playing on my one char I've had since the midnight release and still haven't finished the main quest yet.

Damn sidequests.

Oooh! A cave! I'll finish this post when

Level 31, seventy or so hours. Just saw Alduin resurrect dead dragon which I quickly sent back to Oblivion. Or hell or whatever. Still have so fucking much to do. Although the tech problems with the PS3 are starting to make me rage a bit. Particularly since I turned off auto-save for a bit, forgot to save and lost two hours of doing stuff.

Still haven't beaten the main quest-line. I'm currently restarting after spending 70+ hours playing a character I had spread entirely too thin to be actually good at anything. Going to try and be more focused this time around.

I've played 50 hours so far, have done the companions and retrieved the Horn of Jurgen Windcaller. However I expect I'll get round to doing the main quest in about 100 hours =D

Then after about a year of playing, I shall wait one more year...
THEN I shall purchase a desktop for a cheap price which can max Skyrim, utilise the fantastic mods which mod Oblivion and Morrowind into Skyrim using the new graphics and engine. then I shall replay ALL THE GAMES.

I was at about 120 hours and level 48 when I quit. I kept forgetting that you don't get XP for completing quests (I've played New Vegas too much. Wait, nevermind. You can never play too much New Vegas), so I didn't grind to increase my level any.

Oh, the main quest I finished at about hour 100. I did it in small bits all throughout my playthrough.

I haven't started the Civil War Quest, though, and considering that I accidentally deleted my main character and haven't really gotten very far with my other one, it doesn't appear as if I will anytime soon.
It's weak. Really weak. It's basically just a series a repetitive clunky battles against grunt soldiers from the other side. And not much changes when you finish it. Hell I was the Empire's champion and a Legate, yet Imperial soldiers would still say, "Halt, citizen! You are interfering with Imperial business!" whenever I'd pass them by on the road.
Sounds like something to do on a boring afternoon just to get the achievement.
You can breeze through it pretty quickly. I don't remember any long dungeons. Most of it is Meet at camp --> Recieve orders --> Meet forces --> Attack enemy fort

Nationally recognised as 'Stormblade', the man who destroyed the Imperial occupation and conquered Solitude, and still the Imperial soldiers wandering the road look so surprised when I take offence to being referred to as 'citizen'.

I haven't even started much on the main quests. Too distracted by the miscellaneous quests and something called real life. :(

I still haven't finished it at about 80 hours. I also haven't played the game in like a week. I've been too busy doing other stuff and playing SF4:AE. I am sort of waiting for the creation kit to come out so I can get a hardcore mod before I keep going. Otherwise I am going to end up one shotting Alduin when I get to him.

I didn't think the main quest was very long, or difficult (300+ attack sort of made sure of that). But it actually took me 93 hours lol.

So how long did it take you to finish the main quest? Have you even done it yet?
Its hard to say, because I spent much time mucking around doing other stuff, if I focused on the main quest only, it would've been 10-12 hours of my time.

I thought the whole point was that you never really *finished* skyrim... =P

Personally, I'm 40-odd hours in, and I'm still faffing about playing with smithing and picking locks and stealing everything that isn't nailed down and killing random bandits.

Mostly because the 'main' storyline (I mean the civil war one) is so unutterably boring and bland that I can't motivate myself to go through it yet...not when there are more interesting things to do...like mine ore and hunt rabbits. ;-)

My first game glitched when I was about halfway done with the main quest, but that save had about 90 hours on it. On my second run I only bothered with the main quest and Imperial quests, since that was all I had left. Can't have taken more than 10-15 hours.
Was so damn dull having to run all over the map again.

I have spent almost 40 hours chasing deer, throwing fireballs, shooting arrows, trying to cut them in half with big ol swords, and about 100 hours dinking about in various other ways, mostly unrelated to the way i'm supposed to play the game. :p
