Ok, this question has been swimming around in my head ever since they started running Star Wars The Clone Wars on Cartoon Network. Exactly how much time was there between the end of Episode 2 and the begining of Episode 3, cause it seems that the timeline for the animated series would have to be shortened to fit. Anakin becoming a Jedi Knight somewhere between the two movies and be given a padawan to train into a Jedi Kinght too seems like they sort of rushed things.

Please give a thoughtful answer with some amount of facts to back it up don't just throw something out there that makes no sense.

I have no idea, but there's a Star Wars group around here somewhere that you could ask.
I'm sure one of them would know.

It's not mine, so it's not advertising.

It began with the Battle of Geonosis in Attack of the Clones and ended when Anakin slaughtered the separatist leaders in Revenge of the Sith three years later.

In the Star Wars imaginary calendar, it was 22-19 BBY (Before the Battle of Yavin.)

EDIT: As for how long the cartoon will last, that depends on how long people keep watching it.

I don't count The Clone Wars animated series as part of Star Warsbut i think it took about 3 or 4 years.

22 to 19 before Battle of Yavin, so a rough three Years. Keep in Mind though, Anakin was almost ready for the trials at the start of episode 2, and that the Jedi order was short on people to teach, since they kept iconviniently getting gunned down by droids, so measures were a bit outside the box.

Also keep in mind, that the whole cgi/cartoon-clone wars business is an assload of bullcrap :I

Three long years. Read into the comics, novels, and the Republic Commando game to find out more.

The war was too short to be credible.
It was a freaking war on a galactic scale!

Yeah it was rather, Warhammer 40K does a much better job in terms of epicness. No movies though :(

Only problem is that it's very heavy going and complex at times.

I've turned away from Warhammer. I used to enjoy the models and backstory/artwork, then I found out that not only was it ridiculously embarrassing to be associated with (I was aware before, but it got worse) it was also a really, REALLY dull game

Me and my dad play it as a shared hobby. Nothing serious but it keeps him happy.

Also the artwork they do for it is fantastic. But yeah it's pretty embarassing and there's a lot of social stigma around it.

2-3 years about, go look on wookiepedia and stop being lazy
The only reason I didn't go there is because I knew I'd get like 10+ answers and all of them could be wrong.

Where are you getting the three years information from?
