I keep all the games i buy now-a-days so I have a large collection. mostly due to my need to buy games in bargain bins resulting in owning about 15 ps2 games I've never even played because they need to age. Summoner and Evergrace are almost ready to be used.

Top flight games that I love I will keep forever because I like having a tasteful collection so that others can see what I like and that I'm a pro. Selfish, but not uncommon.

Depends on the game, if they meh they get sold, otherwise they just go into my collection.

I still have the first PC game I ever played, Civilization. It set the standard for the rest of my collection. So, basically, forever so far.

There's something special about going through the old cardboard boxes, leafing through manuals and reminiscing about simpler times.

My hubbie trades in games that are exclusively his but I hold on to mine. One exception will probably be Mirror's Edge. I don't see me playing that game again once I finish it. The gameplay is more frustrating than the Alma fight in Ninja Gaiden.

Forever, unless I don't want to buy the game but only want to play it. Then I just rent it

If it a game I truely enjoyed i'll keep it, but if its an ok game I sell it off usually towards a new game.

I keep games forever if I can. Eventually I go through the ones that I don't play anymore and were mediocre, or ones I can't stand to look at because of how impossible they were, then sell the whole lot for a new game or two. At least that is what I used to do before games costed $60 a piece. I'm basically limited to CoD:WaW and Orange Box until I can budget in a new one.

I rent most games so as I beat them I turn them in.

Games I do buy, I keep forever as they usually last forever. (Fallout 3, Rock Band, Left 4 Dead)
Exactly the same for me...

Last week was the first time I have ever sold games.

The games I got rid of were in the 'never touch again' pile though, so the cash was more than welcome. Otherwise it was the bin for them I guess.

I keep games I really like, otherwise I'll sell a game once I beat it or if I really don't like it and think I'll never finish it.

I still own the copy of starcraft my uncle gave me in 1998 (or was it '99?). So I'd say if I buy a game, I will most likely keep it forever.

Normally I keep every game I buy and every console I buy. Got 2 boxes of assorted N64, Gameboy, PS2, Gamecube and PC games in the attic just in case I want to play them again.

I have only ever traded in/sold 3 games and 2 consoles. I sold Age of Empires 2 expansion and Age of Mythology to a friend as he wanted them and I'd finished playing them (I then bought them on budget about a year later), I sold my GC (no games or controllers) to a friend after I'd bought a Wii, I gave my Gameboy Advanced to my (then) Girlfriend after I bought an SP and I traded in Street fighter IV after 5 hours and 5 holes in the wall. They build those Xbox 360 controlars like brinks and I remembered why I dont have any serious fighting games in my collection.
