How long have you played Black Ops multiplayer?

I was wondering how many hours of gameplay other Escapist Black Ops players have amassed. I personally am highly addicted but want to break the addiction so I can actually play some other games. I think I'm approaching 23 days played with about 82,000 total kills.

Just like smoking I say I will quit, but I always eventually come back for more. After 500+ hours I still enjoy the game, but I know moderation is key.

How long have you spent playing the game and what would you say your level of addiction is like?

one thing I wish they'd change is add an option to turn the respawn timer in hardcore mode off... I can deal with spawn times in something like TF2, but in agame like Black Ops, where there's always running and gunning and such, 10 seconds to spawn just feels soooo much longer than it should...

Several hours at least. I played it a fair amount when it first came out but have barely touched it since. Might be I'm just burnt out on COD or it's just not as engrossing as its predecessors.

Long enough to realise how repetitive and boring it is. Its only redeeming feature is Wager Matches.

~140 Hours. Somewhere halfway 5th prestige. Not really addicted. There are weeks I don't feel like playing anything else, but also weeks when I never touch the game. Still fun though, even without any of the map packs.

I just couldn't get into Black Ops. The story was pretty crappy, I hated the multiplayer maps (pretty much all of them, which is a rarity for me), I hated how sluggish movement felt compared to Modern Warfare and Modern Warfare 2, I hated how it felt like there was no real incentive to use anything other than the AKS-74U or FAMAS in multiplayer, I hated that one of the most effective strategies in multiplayer equates to a retarded combat dive straight out of a bad John Woo movie, I hated the ridiculous number of historical anachronisms in the game, I could go on, really... but it's just not worth it.

It's not that I hate the CoD series or anything. I've devoted way more time to MW/MW2 than I'd like to admit publicly (or even to myself)... I just couldn't really get into BO. To me it felt like a cheap imitation. Like one of those Chinese-made knock-off designer watches people buy on street corners thinking that they're getting a great deal on a Rolex.

The game just wasn't particularly fun to me. To each their own, I guess.
