How long till you let some one bring back up a thread?

Now i been hit by the search button a few times, i hit others with the search button once or twice and been in a few threads with the op being hit by the search button but i want to know, how long do you the user give for some one to redo a thread. I would give some one 3 months before they could redo a topic, what about the rest of you?

A month, but it really depends on the content.

If it's, oh I don't know, "ninjas vs. pirates" or something I'd rather not see it ever.

I believe it was Tendo [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/profiles/view/tendo82] who said he'd prefer people to revive two-month-old threads rather than creating new ones.

Yeah, 3 months sounds good to me, unless it's a console war or religion thread.

If it's a vs thread, than never. And ya, if the thread is not that old, revive it. What really pisses me off is when the two same topics are on the front page.
