I don't know what DFO stands for, but my brain parsed it as Dwarf Fortress Online.

Honestly you have to want to play Everquest,EvE, and CoDMW2 set in a fantasy world to enjoy DarkFall Online. There are no levels, it is skill based like Morrowind, but it is far from grindless.
The game is a no holds barred PvP MMO where you can lose anything you have on you to another player. While this is very cut throat and new players are easy pickings for veterans, it does have a very open world do as you feel atmosphere.
DFO is very steep learning requirement, and it has soem very ugly graphics. Its made by a very independent Developer (Adventurine) who have there own goals for there game and damn the rest of the MMO games, they do it there way regardless. This is refreshing but can also put off new players.
Anyhow, i wish there was a free trial for others to at least get there feet wet and see how it is. Only way to try it is to buy it, and unless you really enjoy hardcore PvP i would not recommend it.
(edit)After reading the OPs replies i realized he is not talking about DarkFall Online, but a terribad 2d sidescoller MMO that makes me want to pull my eyes out of my head. But i will leave this up since i guess it has good info about DarkFall Online.
qiaoxiyi, if your looking for a nice free to play experience might i suggest Warhammer Online, right now you can get the game and play the first 10 levels free for as long as you like, Make as many chracters test them all out. Runes of Magic is also very nice, and so is Atlantica. I hate the thought that your playing Dungeon Fighter Online.qiaoxiyi said:

the hype for it was absolutely massive. it looked great, right untill the beta + release. it flopped quite badly for lacking server capability. i followed it for 1,5 years before the release, but found eve-online (thank god for that). didn't try it when it was released.
