Ok, so in most games walkthroughs are really unnecessary like Call of Duty. However other games, like God of War, end up being very frustrating to me without the occasional help from a guide online. I will find one of the puzzles and run around for about 10 minutes and before I become too pissed off I'll just run to my computer and figure out how to get past it. Then im onto the game again until I get stuck again.
My thought is: a lot of games are made to be explored and you are there to take your time and figure it out on your own. However at a point when I am just running around a single room trying to figure out how to get out, I really just want to know so I can progress with the story. God of War is fun because they incorporate puzzles into a hack and slash. I will usually figure out most all of the puzzles but every now and again there is one I run into that I just don't want to waste my entire day figuring out.
So how many people use walkthroughs and in what situation do you use them?
