How much do you spend on games every month?

I used to buy maybe one game every other month; now between quarantine (ie. isolation + reduced spending) and digital store sales I'm averaging, uh, several every month. That's $100-$150, more or less. Hard to gauge how much is too much these days.

What's your spending average?

A monthly €60 budget. Self-imposed. No going over it for any reason, and should there be any leftovers, they don't transfer over to the next month.

Oh, and before I forget, I rarely actually use up my monthly budget.

I don't buy many games every year, so I don't really have one. Maybe a collective 250€ a year? Don't really spend that much time playing games these days.

I don't really set aside a set amount for games, I just tend to scoop up what I have my eyes on if I can get it cheap. However, between a huge backlog of games I haven't really played, not to many games coming out that I'm really excited for, and the fact I'm usually spending my money on expanding my video/music collection means I'm not really buying games much these days. Plus, I decided I'm not going to get any new games until I go and build myself a new PC.

Haven't spent regularly on games in several years, but even at my prime (early-to-mid current gen,) I was good for maybe a game a month or so. My interests tended to be pretty particular, so I was able to be highly selective. Also, I was never one to play multiple games at a time; I usually bought what I wanted to play and played it to completion; I never had much of a backlog or bought games I wasn't going to play immediately.

Actually I'm gonna do exactly that, set a non-transferable limit per month. I've spent $60 so far this month and was ogling at another $60 total and already of the mind "Wow, $100+ this month". I'll just wait another week and spend it then for the principle of it.

I spend as much as required for all the games I want in a given month. October/November usually is $100's of dollars. But there are also longer streches in the year in which I spend nothing. So it all balances out.

Maybe $40/month if i average it all out.

Depends if there's a sale or not. That and it depends on what's out there because I do prefer specific genres more than others.

At best I'd usually spend 50 bucks a month. I don't like to spend a ton of money but if there's a sale I actually buy more than humanly possible.

Whatever, just wash your hands.
Well, this month I spent like $80 on games since there were 2 coming out that I wanted now without waiting for a sale, but last month it was only like $20.. oh right, there was a steam sale then, so... actually it was probably closer to $100... This is complicated enough that I don't feel like actually calculating it, lets just say probably like $50-60 average based on whats coming out that I want to spend money on right away and those old games I get on sale and steam sales. Although that does seem kinda high... hmm.

I really only use PSN and Steam (occasionally GoG but not even once/yr) anymore, and only add $20 every few months for sales on the former, and spend no more than that monthly on the latter. I’d say these days I could easily get by on $20/month typically, but that rounds up a bit if I buy a new game, which isn’t more than 2-3 times a year lately.

I would estimate around £200-£300 a year. Assume 2-4 AAA titles at £30-40 a pop, and about ten indy games at ~£10-20.

I don't especially have a limit, as I can spend nothing one month, 160 the next (due to regional prices, a $60 game costs more like $80 up here), and maybe on another month I'll spend only about 20.

Given how I barely spend money on anything else that's nonessential, I don't put a limit on my game buying.

Spending has been an issue a fair bit, part of addictive personality sort of meant being more buzzed by just spending tthan actually playing. Had to recognise and pull away from it as it caused problems for sure, and still can do easily. Damn low dopamine compensating habits.

Very little, honestly - there's maybe 5 games a year I want to buy, and maybe 4 that I buy on a whim.

I replay most games I like anyway, so that helps.

Ordinarily that's me too - I spent about $200 last year total - but that's because up until a few months ago I refused to buy digital copies. Now that I'm locked up and the stores are closed or understocked I just buy digital; moreso I'm hoarding up on every indie game I've missed for the past 5 years or so. They're on sale and everything is $3-$5 tops but boy do they pile up easy...

I used to spend too much, and at the moment I spend none at all. Too busy with work and certifications and getting licensed and grad school.
