Do you have trouble trusting large authorities, like big companies, banks, and the government?

I do. I'm a very straight forward kinda guy. I like simple cause and effect. Money=goods/services, work=reward, crime=punishment. These authorities seem able to bypass such simple laws. They seem able to ruin people's lives so easily, and feel they never have to answer for it, using their position to protect themselves from justice. I don't like it, these omnipotent corporations always watching and waiting for a way they can con me for everything I own. It makes me so angry that I can be constantly under attack by them, and I can't fight back.

Why can't you fight back? Become a lawyer or someone important!

OT: no i'm not that paranoid . I have come to accept the world for the way it is . And realised that this is how shit works . I don't have any will or desire to change it . As long as they don't directly attack me in person i have no bee with them . I am however sceptical of things i hear from these big companies/govermental institute and don't believe everythig they say . If i think there may be a catch i usually do some research. But only if i care , which doesn' happen very often .

About as far as I can throw them. As I do not have super strength, and therefor cannot pick up a building full of people, or for that matter a bunch of people, that would be not at all. Big companies happily exploit their customers who have become complacent, big banks just exploit for shits and giggles, and governments are too easily corrupted for me to put any trust in them. Call me cynical, but large authorities have shown time and time again that they aren't deserving of trust.

I trust most authorities. The exception is the government. Because the government is elected by the masses, and the masses are idiots. Ergo, the government is full of people representing, and pandering to, idiots.

I have no choice but to trust my bank.

It has my money.

If anyone from my bank is reading this .... I love you, please don't lose my money.

The government make the law, and they're on the side of big corporations.

Exactly. They know that. They know you have no choice but to agree to whatever they want.

Unless, of course, you don't put your money in the bank. Me? I don't trust small authorities, let alone the big ones. Why should I trust them? Because they "worked" there way up or was elected?

That sums up that last bit rather well.

I simply don't actively distrust them.

I won't start spewing anti-corporation rhetoric, but I'm not going to implicity trust them either.

I draw the line at wearing a pink frilly tutu and singing Kate Bush's greatest hits in order to withdraw my money.

No, no I don't trust them at all. I do the business I have to do with them, but I don't trust them. Therefore, I do as much of my communicating with them as I can in writing and I keep track of EVERYTHING. That way, if push comes to shove (which it has more than once) I can prove what was said and protect myself.

People think I'm paranoid.. and I am about some things.. but, I've had problems before with people with authority/organizations trying to screw me over. So, I think my paranoia is justified. *shrug*

They havn't been pandering to the masses of idiots anymore, they hae been pandering to the few, bigger and much more selfish idiots who are wrecking the world economy by making gov pass laws to choke the demand that makes their work profitable
