I recently went online and designed the computer I want to get. I won't bother listing the specs and stuff, but without the monitor the price comes to $7,581 and if I had the money, I'd happily pay that.

How much would you be willing to spend on a computer and why?

I spent £400 on this computer that wasn't designed for gaming and really, I don't think I'd want to spend any more on it.

I guess I'm just not much of a PC gamer.

If I had the money? No limit, really. As long as the thing is going to last me a long time, I would love to get my hands on an excellent rig.

This, however, is not the case. I don't like to spend over 600$ for a laptop or over 2,000$ for a tower.

I'd spend up to $600. My friend is spending $4500 on a built-do-order alien ware gaming computer

Around $1,000. IMO, anything more would be a waste since they come out with better stuff a month or so later.

Nothing over $1000

That said, that is for the COMPUTER, not the monitor or mouse or speakers or whatever, just the computer, $1000.

You can get a decent rig for $1000 if you avoid the macs

How did you manage to make it that price? I don't even think you can find computers that expensive where I live.

It's a custom built Alienware. If you go on Alienware.com the Area-51 ALX starts at $3,999 and after I added a bunch of stuff to it(Upgraded processor, faster hard drive, more Ram etc.) the price just rose up and up

And the sad thing is that you could probably build a better PC than that Alienware for $1600 if you know how to build your own PCs.

And its not even that hard if you can just find the hardware drivers and know how to play with legos, just stick the right shaped parts together so that it looks like its right, its not like you need Ph.D for it

THat's not sad. It's true. For even less probably.
