I think if you can tell you someone is wearing make-up (in everyday use) they are wearing too much.

By the way, are you a scuba diver? Your username is the name of a major dive equipment manufacturer.
My username is also the name of a band, and the name of a famous song. :p No, I don't scuba dive. I wish.

Which is somehow relevant, because you shouldn't wear make-up and scuba dive, I guess.
I do, it is awesome. Lessons and certification total about $300 if you are properly being taught. Gear on the other hand is not so cheap, but if you get a parent (or wealthy friend) into diving gear will quickly not become an issue.

In most instances I say that ANY make up is really too much.

Though, just to be reasonable in fancy dress situation if they use just a little to accent their features I don't have too big a problem with it. Everyday situations however, do not call for it.

I don't usually wear make-up, except on certain occasions.Because it usually ends up feelings icky and greasy here in the California heat (and my husband doesn't like it at all. He likes to argue that any make-up, is too much.)

Going out to a dinner party, weddings, birthday parties, job interviews, any occasion that I'll be wearing 'dress clothes'. Then I put a little something on, hardly anything though.

I used to know girls who would just, cake their faces. It was terrible looking. Their face was a chalky-like dark beige, and their neck was their original skin-tone. Then they'd break out, and use MORE. Blegh. Once the term 'caked' begins to surface, then you know you've gone too far and should probably dial it back a lb. or two.

Any. At all. Period.

I dispise make-up of any kind on either sex, it's just so... unnatural. Besides, after putting it on and wearing it in public the first time, you pretty much have to wear it for the rest of your life, because after you take it off, people are going to start actually noticing those weird, albeit subtle, blotches on your neck that you thought they were noticing before, even though they couldn't actually see shit all.

I prefer no make-up at all...
Then again I am probably a terrible inbreeding tragic mistake that will start WWIII, so maybe you should not listen to me in the first place.

It really comes down to the person. Some can go without make-up and still look nice. Others really, really could use some. Still others use too much. I think for day to day activities like going to school you don't need much more than cover-up or whatever. I mean, don't go all out with your Sephora kit and turn your face into a bizarre painting every single day. Save that for special occasions.

I think it's gross when some girls cake their faces with make-up to hide acne... It looks even worse than the 3 pimples you had.

And guys? If you really want or need make-up... Make sure other's can't notice that you're wearing make-up. What I mean is that it doesn't stick out. If it covers some parts of your skin that might not look nice, go ahead. If you look like Adam Lambert and aren't Adam Lambert... Then no.

I've never worn make-up and never will unless I get to go on TV but that's different.

I don't wear any, except some lip-gloss here and there. Neither does Sara.

Girls look better natural ;)
Can not stress this enough... I'm a guy by the way.

Which is odd, considering women have been wearing make-up since at least 3500 BCE. Really, who was the first person to smudge a blueberry on their face and ask, "AM I PRETTY NOW?!"

Damn trend-setters.

I'm gonna pull the misogyny card here and say that I like when women wear makeup. Not a ridiculous amount, but hey, it usually makes them look better. I'm not gonna complain.

If it's noticeable. Thats when I think wow to much. I'm not against or for people wearing make up. I really don't see the point. It takes up time and it's kind of like lying, your covering up yourslef to look different then you really do. But whatever thems them happy I guess.

Well if it's a little bit to make one look better, then I'm all for it, but when it's that odd pale stuff an inch thick that girls put on to hide spots, even though it just looks worse, then no. And I tell them so.

If I notice it without looking for it, that is too much.

Well, unless you are going for the colorful look, then it becomes totally subjective.
