It's good to hear that it's going well, gives me hope that The Old Republic will use the same system.
if the old republic uses micro-transactions, I will lose all faith in humanity.
Why? Surely it's preferable to paying a monthly fee? This way you get to choose how much money you spend on it a month, sounds good to me.

I don't know, EA have already proven themselfs as money grubbing bastards that care for every dime that passes though there hands. If they adopt this system then forget it.

It not like its the first itme its been done, ive wasted some time running around free to play MMOs with micro transactions and most of them do quite well for themselves

If I buy a game I want the full bloody game. Don't take out stuff and charge me additional money for it.
thats somethng that annoys me, not just int he future if this kicks off, but all these stupid limited editions, they migt as well say the games £50-£60 and theres a smaller game with less in it for £40

Hm this game looks like a whole lot of fun. I'd love to try it out and I'm even willing to do some micropayments, but they don't have a Mac version...

Played for 1 week then got bored and haven't touched it since.
Edit: This game also reminds me of Activision's little "DLC" game.

The characters all look like they've been stolen and slightly altered from Team Fortress...

Hmm I gave it a try when it came out, and it was a complete mess. I can't see how people justify spending money on it, considering it's usually worth a couple hours playtime.

the beta was fun, and the key to a f2p system is that you should never be able to simply buy better tools in 1v1 situation...
