How often do you post?

Simple question really. Are you kind of person who everytime you go on post on every thread you see? *coughMaxcough*

Or are you more the kind of person who only comments on threads that interest you and you feel like what you say will have some weighing in the discussion like me?

Obviously, my post count is extremely low compared to how long I've been here, and there are some users who have upwards of 5,000 posts from only a few months, this shows how differing this is in this forum.

I try to comment on every thread, but eh, some of them I just can't post on.

I'd fall into the second option.
I don't post all that often, but if I see a topic I can contribute (well) to, I tend to latch on to it and not let go until it dies.

Not that often any more, I just always seem to be busy. Or when I am about to comment on something, I think to myself "That comment sucks balls, Dougal. Try harder." and I don't post it.

Post on almost everything of interest... if it is good and makes me think, I comment. But not on Zombies, twilight, or fanboy stuff

I comment on this that relate to me in some way OR things like pique my interest.

In this case I wanted to see how long it'd take for Max to get here and say "Do I REALLY have to answer that?"

I only post on threads that dont have many posts or I really want my opinion to be known.

Or I just have something funny which I hope someone will see and reply too.

Normally its not my style to comment on topics like this. Generally I read a lot, and only say something if I really feel (and I mean REALLY) that something needs to be said. Although on here a couple of times a week reading topics, as you can see my post count is very low. In fact I have been lurking these forums for over a year now, and only broke down and got an account last April (I think).

Hmm. I joined on the 22nd of August last year, meaning I've been part of the Escapist for about 460 days. Since then I've made 6795 posts (before I made this one) meaning I've made on average 14.77 - round up to 15 - posts per day, 0.625~ posts/hour.

And that's not including the break I took from the Escapist when Wrath of the Lich King was released or days where I simply didn't post.

I post on what I can but don't usually keep going back to check others peoples responses. And I've not got too much spare time so I'm only on when I know I have plenty of time to spare.
Also didn't get any posts in over the summer as had no internets, bad time!

I'm sort of a picky poster. If a thread catches my attention, and I make it all the way through the X pages of comments, and if someone else hasn't already made my point, I may reply. I hate to simply be a repeat of what someone else has already said three pages ago. Occasionally, I will see a comment I just have to respond to, and that will cause me to post in a thread I normally wouldn't, but again, I'll only do it if someone else hasn't called them out on it.

Shows what you know (nothing.)

I only post when I find something interesting or when something annoys me so much I have to correct the person posting.

Consequently, I used to post much more often for the former reason and now I post most often for the latter reason, but still less than I used to.

Hi.
Conversely for kicks and giggles, Max has posted (on average) 48.8 (round up to 49) posts per day. :p

Definitely the sort who posts on things that are interesting. Many other threads are a matter of "God, why bother?" and "This is stupid and will be Ban-Cannon'd forthwith anyway.".

Only topics that interest me and even then only when I can get my thoughts out coherently which is rare, everything I want to say or write always gets royally screwed somewhere between my brain and my hands.

I don't post on every thread I come across. Though if I can post an evil answer, I probably will. Further I post on all threads that take my interest, unless I don't.

I usually read through the topic names and find a topic that I can contribute to. Then I rad through the first page and if my contribution has already been made I don't post.
