How often do you post?

It is very rare that I actually post a comment, as I will often look down at my work in progress post, find something wrong with the way it looks and end up sending it to the place of lost internet forums and deranged minds (4chan, obviously).

I have redone this very post several times, and am still not too happy with it.

*Gestures at post count and join date.*

I lurk significantly more than I post, though I'm trying to become more active overall.

I post when I have something to say.
Which is to say, not as often as most.

Also, I don't post in troll threads.
Because feeding trolls is, you know, stupid.
(Seriously, you'd think people would have learned by now)
Well, since that troll_man guy was here and made about a hundred racist posts and threads, no. No they have not learned. :p

OT: Like the guy above, only when I got something to say.
I used to post a lot when I was a wee one, but now it's about 10 posts a day.

Well, I joined 14 April 2009, and I don't even have 200 posts. Huh. I guess I don't really post that often.

I tend to post only in threads where I have something to say. If I see tens of pages full of opinions, somewhere there should be my opinion said by someone else. In that case, I don't bother to post. Then there are countless threads, where I just don't have anything to say. So I wont...unlike some people here who post even if they don't have anything new to say.

I'm a firm lurker. Heh, lurkers...I must go play Jak and Daxter now, bye.

Conversely for kicks and giggles, Max has posted (on average) 48.8 (round up to 49) posts per day. :p
That seems improbable and it involves math, so I am inherently distrustful and suspicious.
You're correct to be mistrustful, I misclicked and did 15920 (your post count at the time)/324 when it should have been 15920/334.

Meaning that you actually posted about 47.5 (round up to 48) posts/day. I wasn't off by much though >_>

I will post on a thread that interests me, otherwise if I can't post on a thread I will simply logout.

I don't post for the sake of it. I'll post only if I've got something to say on a subject.

I joined on the 1st of November 2008 (which is 389 days) and I've posted 1528 times. So that's 3.92 posts a day ([small]I think[/small]) which averages at 4 posts a day - not counting the summer just gone when I was barely online due to a dodgy internet connection...

I hit the report button more than I post these days.

If I can genuinely help or clear up information, I do it. That's about the only time. You know, listing awesome old games that these kids today have never heard of and such.

Just look at Sasquatch99's. He joined in late August (I think) and is already at 6000 posts.

He is more machine than man now.
He must have the server hooked up to his veins....

I average 25 a day. I guess I must be inferior to the people with larger post counts who joined last week.

Yeah, I usually post on the threads I come across. I joined late august of this year, so...far too often.

Depends on factors like my mood, free time, and how interesting threads are. Sometimes I post 30 or more a day on weekends, and sometimes (like just recently) I don't post very much at all.

I've kind of switched between the two over the months I've been here. I started posting not too often, generally only in the threads that appeared under the 'recently commented' section on The Escapist home page, then I realised that there were actual forums *facedesk* From there, I posted a little bit in Off-Topic before coming across a picture caption competition thread in the recently commented section on the homepage. This introduced me to the mammoth of an addiction thatt was Forum Games & RP, which I spent a little at first before spending a large amount of time pretty much living in for about 2-3 weeks at least.

Eventually I entered a phase where I would end up posting in every other thread in Off-Topic and any other forums that seemed interesting at the time and would post in Forum Games & RP during the evenings, when there would be more people on, due to a large amount of the Forum Gamers being American. After I started to get close to 4000 posts, though, I gave up Forum Games & RP, looking for bigger things to write forum-wise. I still posted in every other thread, but posting was slower as I was no longer posting in such an active bunch of dedicated users.

Eventually, though, I decided to slow down all-together and return to how I kind of started posting on this site, though as a much better poster. Nowadays, I only post on threads I'm interested in, as doing otherwise isn't really that healthy, I find, though it takes a lot for me to hit that post button, where I can start or even sometimes finish writing a post just in the lact minute to decide not to actually post it and to just leave the thread. I was just getting bored of posting so heavily and determinedly, I guess. Besides, College was starting and AS Levels just have to take priority in this case. So yeah, I started as the latter (as a result of inexperience), changed to the former and am now back in the latter context again.

TBH this topic is kinda useless, because to find out how often people post you can look to the left below their avatar to find out which catagory they fall into...
But then you have users like me and Max, who have switched between the two techniques for posting over our time here. Whilst it would appear that the former fits our description from what you write, we do follow the latter nowadays with the post count and joined date simply being a sign of what we used to do here. Also, it's become generally easier to up your post count now due to the fact that user groups increase your post count as well, which is why users like IdealistCommi, Fat Man Spoon and xmetatr0nx and is probably why sasquatch99 (turns out he's a forum gamer, like I used to be) has such a high post count as well for his joined date.
