Ok i put this thread up in a wonderment on certain people's behavior. I'm going to take xbox live as a prime example. I have a few people on my friends list who are under 16 and i genually like to be in a party with them. They're funny and engaging. But one day i log on to a cod 4 SnD game and the first thing i here is "MOTHER F****** NI......". Thats generally about the same time i invite someone who is not on to a party and put the head set over my knee. How is it this guy who sounded well into adulthood is still crying like a little 5 year old when his plan didn't work out. While my friends learn from wth just happened and next round rape those who stayed.

Also i would like to expand this topic to kids who are 10-14 playing games such as call of duty and gears of war. I just don't like playing with kids who are squeking in my ear unless i know them. So what do you think on this.

Whenever i encounter a prebubescent he is either narrating the game, cussing, singing, team killing, trying to do a glitch thats only specualtion not necessarily helpful, or yelling into the mike about how awsome his toss-the-grenade-into-the-air was. Often someone will call them out on being a person who uses mom and dad's allowance to get the game and the usual first response is suck my dick. The most cuss words i hear in a match are spewing that from an "innocent" child.

I'm of exact legal drinking age in the US. People often think I'm older in person, which leads to me getting hit on by middle-aged men.

Yes. The amount of young kids playing games like CoD: WaW, GOW 2, etc is just ridiculous. However, I'd be hypocritical if I said I didn't play violent games with a rating WELL over my age when I was thirteen (I'm eighteen now BTW). I think that these kids, however, especially COD players, simply learn the language from the irritated teens and 20-somethings that also play the game. Again, I'd be hypocritical for saying I've never badmouthed a little kid. However, I never did so unprovoked. Usually it starts off as a game, then the kid does something irritating like Team Killing, irritating noise (this is an exception as I usually just ask them to stop singing or whatever they're doing), or just being a dick.

As far as the "mom and dad's allowance" pun, I think it's more likely that little junior asked for said game for his/her birthday or for Christmas, or maybe some other gift-giving holiday. In truth, it's more likely that it is the parent's fault for why there are so many children on games like Halo 3 and the COD series. They simply don't take into account that other people play on the internet, and that not all people on the internet are censor-concious. I prefer not to badmouth kids, or even get involved, but sometimes it can't be helped.

21, legal in all countries. Oooohhhh yeeeaaah.

I get weirded out with kids in games, too. I'm not crazy on ratings, but sometimes I wonder if parents have any idea what their kids do. I'm a writer, and one of my shorter stories on fiction.net (which was clearly rated M for sex, drugs, rock n roll among other things) had an 11 year old reviewer. I just freaked the hell out.

Ratings are actually there for a reason, there's no shame in saying you need to get a little older, wiser and more desensitised before straying into certain arenas.

You have been following Max, haven't you? Or...are you a clone of him?

This, but subtract two years.
Aha! It's confirmed! I knew it!
I'm 19.

...He hasn't exactly been hiding it. It's on his profile, he's flat out stated that he's 16 before.

Also, you and I are the same age.

Oh, no, I was stating that about madbird and he being clones. Unfortunately, that theory was thrown off by Mad's next post...so I'm back to thinking Max somehow made a copy of his mind that was sent to someone
else's body just in case something happened to him...and Madbird was somehow activated early.

I'm not "following" Max. I simply wish to study him, gain his trust, then replace his legs with sandwich makers. For the good of children everywhere.
Forget the children! Max is entertaining as hell! Kids are just annoying!

Just saying... Wouldn't being "more desensitized" to violence be a bad thing? That's why people get pissed off over violent videogames to start with. >.>

OT: I'm not going to share, but madbird-valiant summed it up quite nicely. Though they misspelled "kingdom". ;)

Though, time is just a concept we use to rationalize... Blah, blah, blah. You get the drift. Smart-ass comment. I'm going to bed. It's naptime.

18 here and I'm against young people playing games such as CoD. I did also play unsuitable games for my age (Half Life at 9) but with guidence from my brothers and its a different situation. These kids are learning terrible and disgusting language and acts from older players. Very wrong. Even I get offended by the language of some people on online games. All you can do is mute them. And kick their arse.

I'm 14 and I really have problems with idiots like you. NOT ALL 10-14 year olds have squeeky voices. NOT ALL of them (or us or whatever) are idiots. You just need to be more tolerant and mute anyone who annoys you.

Most of the modern world calls that "stalking".

Anyway, apparently the old man out here at 26...

Young is relative. Why, you're already...

Why, you're about 1/7th dead! Better start enjoying life now... Deady.

Yeah. Again. Tired.

Diabolical. I know when I am beaten, good sir.
Seems to me that the salt would taste bad, but be healthy. Kids these days need more iodine in their diet, lest they get a goiter. Goiters =/= fun. So Max is really just being a good guy, and trying to prevent kids everywhere from being forced to wear a scarf to cover an ugly lump.

Go Max! You help those children!

Your logic is depressing. I like it.
I try to make everyone else's life a bit less fun each day. It gives me joy. And I only care about one person. It isn't you. Though you are a pretty cool guy. I just don't care about you.

I like to stay in character on XBL. Giving orders and such like 'Cover Me!'. I'm weird. Also I am XX years old.

Shhh! He'll realize his mistake!
That's the plan... Jan.

That did rhyme. Thanks for changing your name.
