It's relative really, during most of highschool/university I felt/acted older than most of the people around me. I'm still friends with a lot of those people so when with them I'm still the old guy (I'm also the oldest by 6 months...)

However at work, though I'm actually older than a few of my colleages, I still feel like I'm younger than them, possibly because they're all "done" (work, wife, kids etc.)

The younger you are, the more alive you are. You should aim to be as young as possible. I was at dinner with my family just earlier tonight, and my uncle was irritable that "this kid" offered him his seat, because there were plenty of people older than him on the C-train. I'm sure he wasn't irritable their, but everyone hates aging. Those who age the least are the the greatest. Ultimately, age is a state of mind. I intend to still have golden (people who say "blond" are jealous) hair into my 50's. My dad had golden hair into his early 40's so I intend to beat him by a decade. You have to set goals like this. I could go on about the attributes of youth I intend to keep, but I won't.

Just remember that "age" is simply a construct of society that was created by people who are probably less intelligent than you because they need to be able to grasp things physically in order to be happy, so they attach personality windows onto ages. If you go out of these windows, you are not "acting your age" whether older or younger. Just fuck the whole thing. You should try to be as young as you can. The way you now you are truly a man of youth is when you get angry when people treat you like you're old, as did my uncle. Keep the fire of youth in you.
I'm going to beat you. Even though my hair is platinum, not gold.
I'm going to keep it forever.

I'm 14 but I want to be eighteen. I think I act like i'm in my mid-twenties, because everyone else my age seems to be a whiny little ***** about the most insignificant things. Maybe that's just because of the time I've spent out in the bush. It means I know what it's like to be away from twitter and facebook and all the other comforts of civilization for more than five seconds and I know what it's like when you're not entirely sure when your next meal is coming (although that was only for a few days, it put things into perspective).

I'm 19 and feel at different times;

14 and completely happy with my place in the world.
47 burned out and in a mid-life crisis.

I feel like I am: 16. I'm young, I'm lonely, and I feel overwhelmed by the world. I act like I'm 16, too. I am what I am. But I wished I had that carefree attitude. *Sigh* Damn maturity.

Well I am about 15. I feel...well older, much older. That's probably because of the general lack of intelligence posessed by people my age.(I have to take enriched classes so I don't fall asleep...and even then...). Sometimes I enjoy it, then sometmies I think it's a bad thing, I think too much and about things that are too serious for my age = |.

I teeter between my age of 22 when I am told I am "a kid" and 45 when I wake up and my body aches. Also...people like to call me old man because they say I remind them of their responsible parents....

That completely depends on the day. I've aged to the point where I finally do chores out of habit (can't cook though). I used to hate them so much. I'm a hell of a lot better tempered than the rest of my family. I'm pretty mature as well, but I can loosen up a little if I need to. My little brother is the type of guy who likes to belch loudly for whatever stupid reason (annoying to no end) and he hardly ever keeps his stuff in his room and out of the way. My parents are way too uptight about every last thing (mom's a neat freak) and fairly short tempered, especially about stupid stuff. Life isn't fun when you're serious all the time. However, despite all that I'm basically still a quiet little kid and I really don't look forward to growing up or what will come after school. I don't do well with pressure and responsibility. Not good for a person my age, right? (20 in October....)

You are only as old as you allow yourself to get. It doesn't matter what your body does. You can either like fart jokes or not, its up to you.

I generally feel my age. 18: too young to be too responsible, old enough to make my own decisions. It's quite the feeling.

I don't feel any age in particular. Also, OP, I'm like that too. I may learn things and get more mature, but I never really felt any difference like that. If it wasn't for the tradition of birthdays, how age seems to dictate everything, and getting free stuff, I wouldn't really care or notice.
