That's not the worst of it: in CoD 4 you play as Lt. Price. My friends and I have two competing Price theories.
1)Captain Price is immortal and so hardcore that between CoD 2 and CoD 4 he reached the highest army rank and then started all over again just for a challenge.
I like that one, fits in with Call of Duty just fine, he just prestiged didn't he.

Captain Price is to busy kicking ass to care about petty things like, time, or him his own death, or the fact thats it's been 90 years and he hasn't changed at all.

I think he was in United Offensive, as well. And if I remember correctly he died in 1 and UO? And maybe even 2?
The first Price did die in CoD 1, and he did not make an appearance in CoD: UO. He was also in CoD 2, but that was because the British missions in that game actually took place before the British missions in CoD 1 (the whole British campaign in North Africa depicted in CoD 2 took place in 1943, while the Pegasus Bridge seige, raid on Elder Dam, and the infiltration of the battleship Tirpiz depicted in CoD 1 took place in 1944.)
