It's either Twilight Princess or Mass Effect 2. Either way, it's not old. I have been gaming since Super Mario Brothers was new.
Like Dusty, I've been a gamer since Super Mario Bros. first hit the shelves. My favorite game though has to be Thief: The Dark Project (1998) with it's sequel, Thief II: The Metal Age (2000) a close second.

There's nothing quite like a well made stealth action game. You know, one that *actually* uses a stealth mechanic?

Donkey Kong Country so 16 year old. I first played it 14 years ago and while I do forget about it from time to time when I remember it hops back to first.

Good ol' Morrowind came out 8 years ago, hard though that may be to believe. I got the GOTY edition at a Media Play on sale in 2005 and since then it has held my heart in the palm of its brown, polygonal hand.

I have loved many games since then but Morrowind has yet to fall from the top spot in my mind. As bad as the user interface was, that's the game I go back to every now and again to remind myself why I love it so much.

hmm...yea, only one year. I stand by saying that games have been getting better, and I point to Mass Effect 2 for evidence of this. To be fair though, the 4 other games I call "all time favorites" only one other of them is even in this generation...

I don't really have one all-time favourite, but quite a few. The oldest (Rocket Knight Adventures) is just as old as me so 17 years old. The most recent (Bit.Trip Core) was back in August 2009 for me so 2 1/2 years old.

Thirteen years.

Banjo Kazooie. It's use of comical graphics, diverse puzzles and speech imperiments won my heart as an N64 player and still holds it now even as i commit my gaming time to the xbox360.
I have yet to beat the final boss on this game. Occasionally I go and try but then I stop playing from fustration at how bad I am at that game.

A close second for me though, would be super mario bros. 3. 10 years old.

4 years. Mass Effect

I've always wanted to try Rome Total War, but never did because.....I end up never finishing strategy games. :p (C&C 3, Starcraft 1, Starcraft 2, Civilizations.etc.)

Yeah the final boss is a real nutbuster. The best way to take her is just get maximum supplies of everything, remember each stage and it's counter and pray for a bit of luck.

11 years, Final Fantasy IX is probably never going to get beaten as my favourite game.
