Lazy intelligent people (like myself) don't do well on them.

I do well in I.Q tests and often don't do well in academic tests. Those require work, and study. I too am a lazy genius.

That's complete bullshit. IQ tests, if they do anything, measure only your capacity to learn. As previously stated, they only measure how good you're at IQ tests (not intelligence at all, as is the common mis-understanding). There are also a large number off differing IQ tests each off which may produce different results - further there are a huge number off factors involved in the process - this all in the off-chance you're not trolling.

Regardless, stop this pathetic charade off "I'm a lazy genius" - because really, your just lazy; IQ proves nothing at all, its just as effective as proving intelligence as solving this puzzle, which is to say, not at all - and the whole internet genius act is incredibly overplayed - heck if we believed what people said then IQ would be solid proof of your intelligence and everyone on The Escapist would have an IQ off over 150. as they all stated on a previous thread on the subject.

As for this ridiculous "puzzle", how on Earth is figuring out the answer to a single puzzle supposed to prove intelligence? In fact, define intelligence itself; you can't because in the way we are using it, it's subjective to a large extent, bar the already stated capacity to learn.

There are a lot of people who do much better than I at such puzzles. There are people who can remember more digits of pi, there are those who can do mental math gymnastics that make me look like a middle schooler by comparison.

Chances are, I've published many more papers in top-ranked science journals than any of those people.

Just thought I'd put this out there. My friend knows Pi to 100 digits, memorized. He is an insane super-genius.

This puzzle has very little to do with intelligence and a lot more to do with patience. I remember doing this exact puzzle in the seventh grade and many others remember doing it. Now, if this many people(My entire school district and many other people on this site) have all solved this problem, then by what logic would you be smarter than 98% of the other people on earth for solving it.

Well It's Obvious he was wrong. Did he ever ask the entire population of the world the question? No. He really should have gotten some better results.

(Sidenote: This isn't all that hard, I did it in class in the 8th grade and only 5 kids out of 34 couldn't solve it in the class period.)
