I got 22. How the hell does knowing where Obama was born make me smart or not?
Some of the questions were bull..
Agreed. This is more of a "common knowledge for Americans" test.

The timer can go to hell. Several questions were forcibly skipped because I was taking too long to go over all the answers. It's, like, less than 10 seconds. What the hell?

18... I don't perform well under pressure...<.<
*pa pat* There there, it's alright. I got 19. It says I'm smart, but that test really was terribly thought out.
I knew almost all of the answers except the one about lead... There was just too much pressure and I ended up guessing or the timer ran out...<.<
I just chose "PB" because it reminded me of peanut butter.
That's what I picked... was it right?
Yes it is. I actually knew this one because of a lousy project I had to do WAY back in middle school.

I got 27, but most of the questions were things I learnt at school or just pretty basic common knowledge picked up from reading the news and just being aware of the world around me.

To be honest I didn't even notice the apparent American bias, the discovery of America question and the WW2 president is basic school stuff, the $2.75+$2.75 is basic addition regardless of the currency used, Elvis is a world icon and I though it was pretty common knowledge that Hollywood is in California & Obama is from Hawaii.

I'm not taking this seeing as it says "Stoopid" in the title.

Something that spells that way, even if it's in jest, has no right telling me I'm smart or not.

My score was 20 so apparently I'm smart.

Then again I've always thought of intelligence as being somewhat subjective.
Intelligence isn't subjective. An artistic genius will do just as well as a math genius on a proper IQ test because both exhibit excellent analysis and problem solving skills.

(IQ tests also don't have a cultural or racial bias, that's a myth from people who simply can't believe African Americans often score lower on IQ tests because of poorer education backgrounds instead of an easy to write-off testing bias.

It's hard to fix an education system, it's much easier to call it racist and move on.)

This is not an IQ test. This is a "how fast can you look up facts on google" test.

20... was worried about the time mostly, and there was one question that I dunno if I got right or wrong since I put my finger down on my touch pad and it selected one before I even knew what the question was...

22 and I'm apparently(I have no idea if I just spelled that correct) smart but isn't it more of "how much common knowledge do you have?"

I got to the second question, the one about Christopher Columbus, and closed the browser window.

Questions that require prior knowledge to answer don't test intelligence. They test retention.
Even though I got 25, I completely agree with you.

24... but that was ridiculous. Car commercial slogans? Popular music song titles? Seriously?
Oh, and a warning to anyone not from the US: this is yet another one biased against you.
Really it is? Because Mitsubishi is of course a US company, and world war II was fought completely inside the US by US troops only right?

The test is far less biased then you are implying. I can think of only two questions that where biased towards people in the US and these deal with wildly popular icons. There where many more questions that would be far easier if you lived outside the US.
...the only thing about Mitsubishi in there was an ad slogan in english. I don't know if that's biased for any particular country (certainly not Japan. Very few folks there recognize the english slogans that companies stick beneath their kanji/kana slogans), but it's not something that an American would find obscure. World War II is only biased toward nations that were involved in it (and yes, it's drilled into the skulls of kids from the US, UK, Germany, Japan, et al), and the only question regarding it asks what years it took place in. Easy and almost country-neutral.
But the distance between any two US cities, even icons such as New York and LA... measured in miles? Seriously, I've never seen the old Standard system used overseas by anyone not from the US... and I've been around the world a couple times.
Exactly, there are a few questions that are biased towards the US, but there are just as many that are biased towards other countries.

I didn't do all that well, but that's mostly because one of my friends was shouting random answers at me...
I panic with time limits ok?

this isnt as bad as i expected. i totally choked, but lookng at the questins, some of them are things people should know. some are lame, but its a trivia quiz, thats how it works. thats why on Win Ben Stein's Money he used the phrase "smarter, faster and luckier...". Actually on that show, my average on the final 10 questions was 1 or 2, those questions were hard.

these questions were pretty easy, but most of them were right up my alley. I can see most people not knowing what language they speak in Brazil. i actually new that one because of an old Sega Genesis soccer game, but even if it wernt for that, im a huge MMA fan, and Brazil is VERY well represented in that sport. I know a lot about WWII, and i have a good friend who is muslim. What country Obama was born in has been a popular topic lately.

21, though I don't know how knowing who wrote the Black Parade makes me intelligent. It might be an argument for me being cultured, but even that's pushing it. And it's pretty American-centric. Not all of us care where your president was born, we just want to know if he can do a good job.

Yeah, I'm bitching because on IQ tests (which I also maintain have nothing to do with intelligence) I score regularly on MENSA levels, this just seems like a poor effort from me.

30.

Since that seems to be pretty good, I'm going to unequivocally state that the test is completely accurate and reliable.

most these questions seems to be aimed at the inhabitants of the U.S.
why do people keep saying this? why would Americans know better what language a roman scholar spoke, or what language is spoken in Brazil or Pakistan? Are Americans better at doing math quickly in their heads? Is knowing who the first and only world leader to ever authorize the use of an atomic bomb esoteric knowlege? Did everyone outside of the U.S. forget when WWII happened? Is it just the Obama one and the pop culture one? The Obama one has been all over the news and interwebs lately, and im pretty sure they have both of those outside of the U.S. I didnt have a clue on the pop culture one, but i may be the exception there. Oh and i'v shared a pizza with a muslim before, but i doubt that means that only Americans know what muslims dont eat.
