In French inches he was 5'2" but it's the same as around 5'7" I believe, which was around average height. The misconception comes from both propaganda and the fact his personal bodyguard were all around 6ft in height (helps provide a bullet shield and inspires power).

I don't think 6'1" is the average ANYWHERE, in the US it's about 5'10"
