Ever walked into a video game shop, looked into you console's top 10 section to see a game such as "FIFA 10", "PES 10" or "The-casual-gamers-game" at number one?

I have many a time. Its annoying to see a good title such as DISSIDIA which pushed the bounds in Beat 'em Ups and what can be done on a hand held console (anyone who has played it will understand, ignore that comment if you haven't) somewhere in the low 20s while some kind of sports game (that the dev. releases every year with minor graphic upgrades and gameplay mechanic tweaking) hog number one? Annoying I'd say, what do you guys think?

I would have loved to see Afrika in any given top 10. It's an esoteric game but that should be one of the reasons why it would be top 10.

I don't know why, but I just look at games now and think: Nah. I could have got borderlands, or Dragon age.. but I would rather not. Maby I'm just not that into gaming anymore.

My answer: Red Dead Redemption. But that's my answer to everything these days.

I say fuck every sports game. Why play it on a console when you can play it outside. They basically are the same game with minor, minor tweaks and upgrades.

And yes that only applies to sports games because you can't go outside and have a team deathmatch.

OT: Yeah, I've felt that way many a time. Not necessarily with sports games, but often I find myself wondering why the hell this and that games sell so much, when there's much more quality in something else. But it all boils down to taste, and I'd be arrogant to think that my taste is the right one.

I personally like the sports games if you buy them every other year the difference is pretty drastic so I don't really understand the hatred for them... Other than a hatred for the sport or whatnot.
