I've been using Speedfan and here is my stats:

Temp1: 51C
Temp2: 65C
Temp3: 41C
HD0: 35C
Core 0: 64C
Core 1: 63C
Core 2: 66C
Core 3: 67C
Core 4: 70C (ranges so these aren't constant numbers)

and I got no idea how to cool them. Since I already cleaned out my comp (got rid of dust and such) but they're still hot.

What can cause them to get so hot?

Water cool the lot, or if you don't fancy tinkering around too much get a system exhaust.

You want to get a 3rd party CPU cooler. Check out Newegg (or somewhere else if you don't live in the US). It shouldn't be that difficult to instal one, provided you have room in your case for it.

Underclocking is when you give the CPU less voltage than what it wants. This slows it down, but it also reduces how much heat it produces.

Tell them scary stories.

Cast bufudyne.

Fill your room/office with giant blocks of ice.

Replace your cooler.

One of these is a good suggestion.

What everyone's saying is correct - unless this is a laptop, in which case you need to just be careful that you keep it elevated in a cool place. In general, even if you can't get a really good CPU cooling system you should make sure your ventilation is good, and nothing's covered. It'll make a lot of difference.

I once filed my water cooling resevoir with crushed ice because I got the cores upto 70c with water cooling... Is this the correct answer?

Here, it's an old thread but I used this method before I could really afford a good cooling system... be careful though it could easily go awry...<.<

Well, you send the space core into space. ("SPAAAAAACE!!") Then you-

Oh wait. Wrong cores.

Uhhh...more fans?

Buy a Noctua cooler. My quadcore is currently running less then 40 °C, even under stress. (The ambient temperature is around 25 C now).

In all seriousness, opening the case and stuffing a big fan in there isn't a good way to cool down the computer. It's pretty shit actually. The airflow needs to be controlled for the cooling to be effective and a huge side fan just cocks it all up.

I've got one case with a 30 cm or so cooler on the side and it's really crappy. And noisy.
I mean a huge fan. Like 26 inches. Brings my temps down almost 20 C.

I use a cooler master hyper 212 plus. It's cheap at around $40 and keeps my I7 nice and chilly. If you're running a stock cooler you may just need to blast the dust out with a can of air.
