I generally just... stay awake. Insomnia is a major plus if you don't want to sleep.

Play videogames, stay here, go to TVtropes...

Just make damned well sure to keep stalked up on food and soda (preferably caffeinated.) If you can just keep yourself busy you should be up for ever and ever and ever and ever an...

Caffeine (not too much at once) and something that'll keep your mind occupied, but not present too much of a challenge. Games are good for that.

Or you could go out. Being out and about (especially in the cold) should keep you awake simply because you wouldn't want to give headroom to the possibility of falling asleep in public.

Tropical gardens? Well, if you're in Sweden you'll need a greenhouse, water, some of that weird blue liquid that calls itself "plant food", and a decent amount of patience.
And a monkey. Y'know, for emergencies.

Smoking i just got back from a snow plowing/shoveling job with minimal sleep and i smoked two packs in four days, that doesn't beat my current record but its more then i normally smoke.

From what i hear plants like co2 and cigrattes give it off, but i wonder if the other nasty chemicals would have detrimental effects on your garden...hmmmm i shall ponder this while i sleep.
