Your UK console won't be able to play NTSC games unless maybe if you're using a HDTV (I haven't tried it), but even then the DLC won't work. Both the UK and Australia use PAL in their DVDs/games and I have heard of my friends getting NTSC discs to work on their HDTV's so that's your best bet (I live in Australia btw).ThePocketWeasel said:Edit: While I'm asking about this I remembered something else. This may sound stupid but I don't know so I'm asking. Would I be correct in thinking that if I buy games in the US they won't work on my xbox back in the UK?
I've never heard anyone say they won't but at the same time I've never heard anyone say they will.
Talk to people IRL?!DoW Lowen said:Err i was on a 16 hour train ride one time.
I got lucky because I sat next to a stranger who was genuinely interesting. So maybe try and make conversation.
Of course not, we were just tweeting each other even though he was right next to me.joschen said:Talk to people IRL?!DoW Lowen said:Err i was on a 16 hour train ride one time.

Heresy...
Speaking to interesting strangers can be interesting, but many people seem to have a natural aversion to conversation with those unfamilliar to them.DoW Lowen said:Err i was on a 16 hour train ride one time.

Well the key is to introduce yourself from the beginning. Because if you do it an hour inwards than you come off as a snobby dick who is only introducing themselves because they're bored.Iampringles said:Speaking to interesting strangers can be interesting, but many people seem to have a natural aversion to conversation with those unfamilliar to them.DoW Lowen said:Err i was on a 16 hour train ride one time.

Yeah I heard that about games, something about releases being different in different countries, stops us being naughty on amazon XD.ThePocketWeasel said:At the start of March I'm going to New York, for starters I'm a nervous flier so the 8 hour flight is a little offputting, but it's probably the only time I'll have the chance to go to New York so I put that aside.
The longest flight I've ever been on was 4 hours and I was so incredibly bored, so 8 hours is gonna be fun -.-'
So, my question is: How do you keep yourself entertained on a long haul flight? I sure as hell need some advice and tips for entertaining myself for so long.
