Over a year ago, I made with a friend a Team Fortress 2 Gmod webcomic that was fairly silly in tone, and largely was experimental. A learning experience. Now as of late I've had many details and ideas in the works in order to start a new webcomic (sofar under the working title "Project Greenwolf") and it's going to be one which will take itself a little bit more serious. But more than that I have concerns about the capabilities of Source, and the scope of my comic plan.

In the past it was relatively easy to make things entertaining with Garry's Mod, seeing as humor could come from anywhere. Particularly flailing appendages, for some reason. That's where I suppose most if any Garry's Mod comics succeed, in generating humor. (For example, Christopher C. Livingston's Concerned [http://www.hlcomic.com/], or Half-Life: Full Life Consequences)

But to my knowledge, drama or pretenses to realism or a more action/emotion based storyline have been limited to appearances in-game to my knowledge (such as the in-game canon of Half Life 2, or the mod Radiator [http://www.moddb.com/mods/radiator] for example). A helpful point of reference in making a "serious" or at least "seriouiser" webcomic would be anyone pointing out a Gmod comic that has a more realistic or at least less comedic tone.

My second qustion (regarding Scope) is one for anyone who's ever used SourceSDK, or downloaded lots of maps for Source engine games: would it be too ambitious to make a comic which elapses over long distances? A small hint of the content of my comic would be characters travelling by motorcycle over hundreds of kilometers, and consequently any given frame would either have to be, or give the illusion of, travelling a nominal distance in a map. Would it be insane to create a map that could have the amount of detail and make-up that would be able to present such a gigantic travelled world?

Also, any notes regarding making pretty decent posing and staging would be nice as well.
