I am sure the prick has laid off thousands of workers so he could get just a tad bit richer.
You epitomise the worst of this site.

Unless this is parody, in which case you parody the worst of this site.

Sorry dude. XD
Yeeeah, as someone pointed out I think too highly of people, this is just another reminder of the reason I stopped posting on escapist's forum for over a year.

I have a brilliant way to make money. I'm going to help finance my school's drug trade and act as the exclusive investor for the profits. By drafting contracts worded strictly enough that it can't be proven that I knew my clients were selling illegal substances I can sidestep the law and make off with a handsome profit. Heh heh heh.

If you want to make money without doing hourly or manual labor without relying on the stock market or lottery you have to A) be really good at something that's guaranteed to always be needed, or B) be really good at something that not a lot of people can do properly.

Examples:
A) Any sort of repair work (plumber, electrician, etc.). Closer to manual labor, but things are always going to break, so there will always be work. Other options are doctors, nurses, or other health care work. Less manual labor, and people will always be sick or injured. Unfortunately, this field is pretty saturated as it is (probably 90% of my graduating class went into nursing/health care).

B) The less stable, far riskier, but potentially more rewarding route. Something in the arts is the first thought I have (artist, actor, writer, musician, etc.). Or if you're very good at math there's a ton of options available (people who are bad with numbers will always need people who are good with numbers). Unfortunately all of these fields are heavily saturated too (as an actor myself, I speak from experience). This is something you have to want 100%, almost at the expense of everything else in life. Luckily, about 98% of the people trying to get into these fields are more concerned with being 'stars' than actually being good at what they do. It works out for some, but the vast majority give up very quickly when it doesn't happen overnight.

I heard a statistic from a friend (who has been a successful talent manager in L.A. for about 30 years. He discovered Garrett Hedlund, the star of Tron: Legacy, and manages the 3 kids from Everybody Loves Raymond, among others). Out out of the 100% that want to be actors/musicians/writers/etc. 90% give up before their first year, out of the 10% that's left 8% give up before the second year. The 2% that stick with it are the ones who succeed.

Not concrete advice, not by a long shot, and there are certainly a ton more examples for either option (and a ton more options, I'm sure), but these were the first things I thought of.

only ways I know of:

entrepreneur - the bigger the risk the bigger the earning, the lower the risk the lower the income, find a happy medium and you'll be set with a few good hits

loaner - lend your money to banks in third world countries where your form of currency is worth more and if the bank has a good collection history you might end up with a pretty good profit, in a way this makes you an entrepreneur

interest rich - if you're okay with moving to another country, invest in a country where again the currency is less than your own, say Japan for example right now every $1 US dollar amount to 78.0758 Yen. So lets say you were to invest $5000 you would get 390379 (rough estimate) if you were to deposit that amount into one of THEIR banks at a 2% interest you would be getting 7807.58 (again rough estimate) a month. Lets say you do this on 3 different banks you would be netting 23422.74 Yen a month in interest only which you can use to keep doing the same thing on the same or different banks of the same country. I would say by the time a year goes by you'll be making enough to live a medium-high class on interest alone, without ever raising a finger. The only problem is you're going to have to move out of your current country into whatever country you chose to invest in

actor, athlete, musician - are you good at any of those? Start small and work your way up, if you're a musician you HAVE TO sell out but the dough should be more than enough for your lost of fans

join the military - take advantage of ALL the benefits, remember you get free: housing, food, clothes, anal massages, etc. If you do things right and keep moving up you'll be able to retire in 20 years if you have a BA you could apply to an Officer position right off the bat. Military life isn't for everybody I see a lot of kids joining to get away from home who come back crying they wanna go home

Completely honest way of making money while doing the least amount of work involved? Buy a current and popular toy for low amount, wait like 10-15 years and sell the thing on e-bay or amazon and stick a 'mint condition' sticker on the post.

People with lots of money only have to worry about what to spend it on.

Captcha you are not an eye exam, stop blurring the crap out of stuff!

edit: I bet $10 you could legitly make quick cash selling marked up MLP merch secretly to closet bronies, that's a hell of a lot faster than the other idea.
