1. Think of a strong topic, one to make people think "wow, isn't that something that I would like to comment on?"
2. Create an inventive name. remember, the more cryptic the better
3. check back up on it: if you asked the forum a question, remember to check back on their answers (replies will not appear in your inbox)
4. Post this thread in the applying genre (gaming discussion, off topic, etc.)
5. After posting, refresh the page every few seconds to see if people reply.
6. Reply to your own thread, it can't hurt to feed the posters.
7. Profit!

Yawn. Boring.

I jest. For want of discussion:

My most popular thread got up to 8 pages then disappeared from the forums for some very strange reason. That was mostly because it was me expressing a quite controversial viewpoint about piracy that many people disagreed with.

I wonder if the mods got rid of it...

Nooooooooo! Cryptic names are terrible. I bypass all threads like that on sheer principle. Please don't tell people to do this. The forum is a much nicer place if the thread titles are actually useful, as opposed to dumb memes or esoteric gibberish.

This is not one of them.
Joking. But hey, lets not all try to be journalists, try and keep it more casual then that.

Ironically, this thread isn't particularly interesting.
Is that being hypocritical on your part?

people seem to enjoy being rude about this, I made it as a joke at 11PM.
Yes, we enjoy being very rude about it because we weren't given enough hugs and Christmas presents as children.

I disagree; if the name is cryptic, there's a chance people will actually read the OP before posting. A slim chance, admittedly, but I've made threads before where people had clearly only read the title and then thrown in a post either stating what had already been said in the OP, or making comments that (if they'd read further than the title) they'd know weren't actually relevant.

There ought to be a mid point between memes and gibberish, and titles that are just a flat statement or question.

Umm.....okay.

Got any ideas on how to make a good sandwich as well? I'm pretty hungry.
1. choose your favorite bread
2. decide what fillings you want (baloney goes well with everything)
3. place those fillings (in any order) between the slices of bread.
4. eat.
Sexist Version:
1. get a woman to do it.
2. be rude
3. eat.
4. be rude.

Tip: post links to content that is fashionable enough to provoke interest, but not so interesting as to get moderator warnings.

Rage threads are always interesting and fun to pick apart with logic...

Remember people! Learn your facts!

You have to be quick to post.

Pick apart everything they say with your superior logic skills with the banhammer timer counting down.

Fuck no, baloney is horrible!

Salami! Salami!

Anyway, yeah, bump your thread. By quoting people. And no one seems to quote me anymore, not in days. *Sob*

Great, thanks.

Would it still be sexist for a women to get a man to make it?
