I have a problem. It may not seem as a problem but it really really is.

I miss my girlfriend even though we were just together yesterday, and there is apparently no way we can be together before monday. We usually hang out like every other day and we have been apart for a week sometimes before.

Anyways, the problem is that I often miss her so much that it ruins my whole day (or the days we aren't together) and I have no idea how to break this "vicious circle". Anyone else have/have had this problem and know what to do?

Distract yourself with a game/movie/book.
I would suggest a game because some books and movies would contain romance and that wouldn't really help.
And games are more fun.

I guess that kinda works for me sometimes now that I think about it! Thanks, I'll try that :)

I'm glad I helped.

You could also adopt a couple of hobbies! :) When I was 16, I used to use Adobe Photoshop to pass the time. I taught myself how to make forum sigs and wallpapers, creating backgrounds from scratch. I later branched out and attempted to add colour to my own drawings! Video editing is also fun. Find some clips (from movies and/or games) and edit them to music in Windows Movie Maker. It's very rewarding. :)

I don't know why, but Half Life 1&2 are always distracting for me.

Maybe its my fear of head crab zombies, and the joy of a double barreled shotgun blast to their face...

Huh... similar problem, different context, but never mind.

'Absence makes the heart grow fonder' as they say, but don't think of it in terms of 'I saw her X days ago', rather 'I'm seeing her again in X days', so it becomes less missing her, and more anticipation of when you'll be together again.

And as other people have mentioned, use a hobby or something you enjoy to take your mind off of it (though not completely, of course).

If it does get bad, don't forget that skype/other form of communication = heaven-send for such circumstances. Just don't overdo it, naturally... who knows, she may be missing you too.

Lacuna Inc.

But seriously, like everyone else has said, just watch TV or play a game. Basically, in order to stop missing someone you have to stop thinking about them, which clearly isn't going to happen.

I do that too, a lot. I just try to keep busy, hanging out with my roomie, doing silly stuff. Anything to keep me busy really. Books and tea generally do it for me.

Don't worry, I experienced this a lot too. haha

Just find something you like to do. Can you talk to her via text or something?

OT: Think of all the things that piss you off about her. That always works with me :p
