hopefully by the time all the apocalyptic stuff happens to the planet, we'll have left this stupid rock behind using star trek-like spaceships.
... but if the world did end before space travel, I'd have to guess "blowing ourselves up because nobody ever wanted to be friends with each other".

I doubt it will be Nukes, they really aren't all that powerful.
If they ever master anti-matter containment, that would be much more a threat.
Even if there was a nuclear war, humans in remote locations would survive quite easily, where no one would think to nuke and is too far from anywhere else that would be bombed. You'd need more nukes that we have to completely waste the entire planet and with every country reducing the amount of nuclear arms they have, that isnt going to happen any time soon at all.
I think in the end humans will just die out peacefully, no big ending, no huge explosion. Eventually we'll run out of resources and like all other animals whose habitat cant support them we'll slowly die out and something will replace us.

I honestly feel it'll be an asteroid. Or an asteroid for one continent, followed by poisoned atmosphere for everyone in the vincinity or who happens to be downwind from said continent, followed by Ice Age, followed by famine. But hey, nothing like a refresh button.

Honestly I think we'll keep going. Probably colonize other planets and live literally until the end of time or what every brings the entire universe down. But thats if we make it that far, and my guess is disease/over population will be what kills us. If we dont space travel.
