This is a serious question. What do you think will finally kill off the human race?
Asteroid collision? Disease? Nuclear weapons? Sun dying?
I frankly have no idea. It would be interesting to see how this species does die, I think everyone would agree that this planet is better of without us.
Or alternatively mabye we'll find away to migrate out of this solar system and poison the rest of the universe.
Asteroid collision: Earth would explode/end in about 2 minutes, so it doesn't matter if that happened or not. We wouldn't know.
Disease: Identical to the Z word *cough*. We'd all slowly die off, but some of us would be immune. No matter how lethal the disease is, there would be a very small percentage of humanity that was immune.
Nuclear Weapons: Mankind does not have the capacity to explode itself to death. The radiation would suck, yes, but if you had a nuke for every person, there would still be survivors.
Sun dying: It would take 2 minute and 26 seconds for life on Earth to end when the sun stopped. If it just fizzled out (ignoring the laws of physics) all processes on Earth would stop; climate, wind, oceans, plants, animals, etc. If the Sun exploded (like it would if it "died") then it would take about 1 minute and 50 seconds for the explosion to reach Earth and annihilate Earth.
So rly, does it matter?
I don't think the Earth will end, and if/when it does, I don't care, because I won't be able to stop it.
