How Would I Paint This 360 Controller?

I've already gotten some basic ideas of how to do things from My Custom Xbox, and I already know how to (for the most part) take apart a controller. The thing is, there are a couple things I don't really know how to do, and I'd like some input on how to go about doing them.

First, how do I take the triggers/shoulders out? These are the parts that I'm going to completely change the color of. (I've also seen some controllers that have changed that button on the top of the Xbox controller. You know, the one that hooks up wireless controllers with your Xbox.)

Secondly, how would I go about cutting tape? I want to paint my battery pack to look just like this:

And I don't want it to end up square or uneven. I want it to be perfectly round to a naked eye, and the glow would be a definite plus.

Thirdly, what shade of green would give me the results I want? Not that you necessarily have to give me an answer, but it would be appreciated.

And last but not least, what else should I put on my controller? I thought I would do the following with it:
1) Paint the shoulders, triggers, analog sticks and dpad the same coat of green as the battery pack.
2) The battery pack as stated, of course.
3) Keep the A button, but (hopefully) get white buttons for the other 3 buttons. (Honestly, this one seems completely impossible. I don't know how to get my hands on white buttons, much less ones that have the letters in them. I'd be really happy if I could get my hands on something like this. Any ideas where I could find them?)
4) Make that button on the top of my controller green.
5) Anything totally awesome you guys can come up with that isn't impossible for the human hands. (Let's keep it Splinter Cell themed, aight?)

I'd also like to apologize in advance for asking anything retarded, because the Youtube videos that showed disassembling controllers didn't show how to take triggers/shoulders apart, and it looked like the shoulders were kind of attached to the gray plastic piece on top. Maybe they aren't. I'm not sure, but it's 2 AM and I'm kinda tired.

I'm not an expert with these kind of things, but you should post a picture.
