You people are so impractical, you assume you'll have access to such awesome firearms, and even if you did you assume you'd have enough food and ammo to barricade up and hold out until it all blows over.

No, the single most useful thing you can have during a zombie outbreak is an icecream truck.

You have the mobility to go looking for food/petrol/weapons/medical supplies, to avoid unsafe areas, and to run from the zombies - even the really fast mutant ones - plus you have refrigerative storage to keep all your food and medical supplies sanitary, and a musical siren to be used as a loudspeaker or help beacon so you can communicate with your fellow survivors.

And for added protection, use scrap metal to put spikes and armour on the truck.

What more could you need?

Depends, are they real zombies or modern bullshit running zombie?

The real zombies, I'd settle for a shotgun and something heavy enough to crack a skull with a bit of reach.

For bullshit running zombies, I'd want something with a faster rate of fire and I wouldn't have to be quite so concerned with how massively I can damage something. Afterall, it seems that most of the modern zombies no longer have the "must be shot in the head" requirement to them, and tend to die or be incapacitated by the same things that would kill a normal human.

A +1 flanged mace(1d6, crit 20x2). The bonus to hit is always good. Plus, zombies are undead and therefore take +50% damage from bludgeoning weapons.
