How Would You Kill Wolverine?

Fire a few rounds into his eyes. Scrambles his brain. Sabretooth has a way better healing factor than Wolvy and it took him months to recover from a claw to the brain. So ya, shoot him in the eye socket then when hes down cut his head off. The bones may be adamantium but the ligaments are not.

Well, that's a matter of who's writing, what plot-line, etc. Wolverine at one point was infamous for being able to heal instantly after a wound, no matter how severe, was taken.

But nonetheless, I'm gonna go with the tried and true approach of MAGNETS!

Actually, that makes me think that potassium cyanide could be the way to go, prevent his cells from producing ATP, or maybe organophosphates.

Was Wolvie's healing power always so OP? In the early 90's when i read a lot of X-Men comics, he wasn't always getting blasted to a charred skeleton and growing back his whole body, or was he? Or were Marvel comics just less violent in past?

Plus, wouldn't it take massive ammounts of nutrition to keep up with a metabolism that fast? So theoretically, a few bullets, or a fire, or something like that would starve his body, turning his own power against him. No?

But, if all else fails, ask him about bananas. There's no way he's surviving space.

Actually, I got to thinking, they replaced his morrow with andamantium, a move unsurvivable even for him. You need bone morrow to make new blood, so that means one hit to a major arterie or blood vessel is an insta-kill. He's easier to kill than regular humans!

Easy! Make a glass squirtgun and fill it with sulfuric acid! Then, use it to melt the chains for a bigger vat of acid dangling above his head! It's foolproof!

In Wolverine Origins issue 4 or 5 he gives the Muramasa blade to Cyclopes saying it's the only thing that can kill him. He gives it to Cyclopes because he knows he's the only one with the will to do what's right, if needs be.


Also, his healing factor really burned out after Magneto took his adamantium away because of the extreme force of it.


Personally, bomb his ass, pick up the bones and separate them to all corners of the earth and hope it's not like Fantasia when Mickey chops up the broom and a bunch of small brooms come back.

I would remove his skeleton and dissolve him with a strong acid. Then I would vacuum seal him and launch the container into space on a random trajectory chosen by a computer. Barring long range telepaths that can communicate with what amount to a Wolverine Slushie at best, he would no longer be a problem.

EDIT;Just remembered another one. Use reed richards time platform and send him to either before or just after the big bang. Also Black hole... Although that doesn't kill him nesscarily it just traps him in the event horizon.

To everyone saying starve him.....He does not need to eat or any source of energy for that matter to regenerate. He can do so in a vacuum in fact which is actually against the laws of physics but is the way his power works for some reason.

In theory Wolvie does not need any water or food at all and either has not realized that yet....or just partakes for pleasure.

As I mentioned before he probably does not even need oxygen either. All lack of oxygen does is kill brain cells....which he would naturally regenerate anyway. Lack of oxygen might incapacitate him though (force him into unconciousness) but that is about it.

By any standard even in the early (non-uber regen) comics drowning would not kill him but only at most knock him out (and with his later regen powers maybe not even that). Extreme pressure from any source would at least keep him from performing any actions and probably being capable of thought as well.

The topic asked how to destroy him though....and encasing his skeleton in a metal/rock etc substance (anything that prevents regeneration) would eliminate wolverine as a thinking entity. He could later be brought back if the process was reversed...but that is not much different then ressurecting the dead anyway.

Other factors that might work in our universe (where adamantium isn't available) would be extreme vibration (used that on the hulk even in some situations) and very high magnetic fields. Both could affect the adamantium enough to allow all of his cells to be vulnerable at once...which would open up many ways to destroy them all.

In the marvel universe though many of Wolvies fellow Xmen could easily kill him even at the height of his powers. Shadowcat could just phase him into another object, rogue could drain his powers, nightcrawler can teleport him into another mass, cyclops could destroy him with a sustained blast, Jean Grey/phoenix did basically kill him at once point (took extreme measures to keep him alive, Iceman could freeze superfreeze him and then shatter him into seperate atoms before using fire/acid to destroy them all etc.

Actually in the marvel universe just about everyone could kill wolverine. It's not his abilities that make him invulnerable it's the writers. In theory there are no writers in reality (not trying to start a debate on religion here) so wolverine would not be that hard to kill.

We would never....EVER ....kill him though...and in fact he would be almost as hard to kill in our universe. Why?

Because the richest, most wealthy people on our planet would want to use him and his blood to keep themselves young. His blood can be used to heal other peoples wounds and to reverse the aging process...so there is no way he would be allowed to die ever if he existed in our reality. It's quite likely in fact that he would end up being the only entity left after we annihilate ourselves in a war over who would have control of his body.
